Background: Dysbiosis of the lung microbiome can contribute to the initiation and progression of lung cancer. Synchronous multiple primary lung cancer (sMPLC) is an increasingly recognized subtype of lung cancer characterized by high morbidity, difficulties in early detection, poor prognosis, and substantial clinical challenges. Objective: This study explores the role of MALAT1 as a valuable target for creating minimally-invasive diagnostic methods and personalized treatments in the management of OSCC. It focuses on evaluating the role of exosomal MALAT1 in the progression of dysplasia to OSCC by influencing the PI3K/AKT pathway.

Objective: Chronic Chagas Cardiomyopathy (CCC) carries a high risk of embolic events due to structural changes in the left ventricle and frequent conduction disorders. However, there is limited data on anticoagulant prescription patterns and factors influencing the use of direct oral anticoagulants (DOACs) in these patients. This study aims to characterize CCC patients based on the anticoagulant therapy received and identify factors associated with DOACs use.
