In this work, we report the synthesis and characterization of FeO@nano-almond shell@OSi(CH)/DABCO as a novel magnetic natural-based basic nanocatalyst. The characterization of this catalyst was achieved using different spectroscopy and microscopy techniques, such as Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy, X-ray diffractometry, field-emission scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy and mapping, vibrating-sample magnetometry, Brunauer-Emmett-Teller measurements, and thermogravimetric analysis. This catalyst was used for the one-pot synthesis of 2-amino-4-benzo[]chromenes-3-carbonitrile from the multicomponent reaction of aldehyde and malononitrile with α-naphthol or β-naphthol under solvent-free conditions at 90 °C. The yields of the obtained chromenes are 80-98%. The attractive features of this process are its easy work-up, mild reaction conditions, reusability of the catalyst, short reaction times and excellent yields.

A three-component reaction of alkenyl thianthrenium salts, cyclopropan-1-ols and DABCO·(SO) under catalyst- and additive-free conditions, is accomplished. This sulfonylation with the insertion of sulfur dioxide works efficiently under very mild conditions, leading to a wide range of 1-substituted vinyl sulfones in moderate to good yields. In this protocol, the scope generality of alkenyl thianthrenium salts and cyclopropyl alcohols is demonstrated.

Impact of Adding -hexylamine to Nickel Metallophotoredox C-N Coupling to Form Diarylamines.

J Org Chem

School of Chemistry, State Key Laboratory of Fine Chemicals, Frontier Science Center for Smart Materials, Dalian Key Laboratory of Intelligent Chemistry, Dalian University of Technology, Dalian 116024, China.

The mechanistic understanding of how alkylamines impact Ni-metallophotoredox C-N coupling to form diarylamines remains unclear. In this study, 12-alkylamines were evaluated as additives to determine their effects on the synthesis of diarylamines in a flow photochemical system. Notably, -hexylamine demonstrated the most significant promotional effect.

Within the material family of metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) the subclass of flexible MOFs (flexMOFs) has attracted great attention, showing structural flexibility as a response to external stimuli such as guest adsorption, temperature, and pressure. Hybrid composites like nanoparticle (NP) loaded flexible MOFs, which stand to potentially combine advantageous properties of both are yet largely unexplored. Here the synthesis of flexMOFs with surface mounted nanoparticles, e.

Addressing the pressing need to develop affordable and efficient catalysts is essential. In this study, we successfully synthesized CuBiS nanostructures with a modified morphology using three different nitrogen bases: DBN, DBU, and DABCO a hydrothermal technique. These nanostructures were used for the electrochemical detection of organic nitro groups, a previously unexplored application for this material.
