Cerebral visual impairment is the leading cause of low vision in children, and functional gains can be achieved with intervention. To date there exists no evidence-based intervention protocol to guide rehabilitation therapists. This scoping review was conducted to synthesize the evidence currently available and explore current interventions in order to guide future research. This review identified five types of interventions for cerebral visual impairment; habilitation, visual stimulation, video game, color tent, and medical and also evidenced the need for standardized, objective measures of function for this population.

With the advancement of service robot technology, the demand for higher boundary precision in indoor semantic segmentation has increased. Traditional methods of extracting Euclidean features using point cloud and voxel data often neglect geodesic information, reducing boundary accuracy for adjacent objects and consuming significant computational resources. This study proposes a novel network, the Euclidean-geodesic network (EGNet), which uses point cloud-voxel-mesh data to characterize detail, contour, and geodesic features, respectively.

Background: Coffee and tea are widely consumed beverages, but their long-term effects on cognitive function and aging remain largely unexplored. Lifestyle interventions, particularly dietary habits, offer promising strategies for enhancing cognitive performance and preventing cognitive decline.
Methods: This study utilized data from the UK Biobank cohort ( = 12,025) to examine the associations between filtered coffee, green tea, and standard tea consumption and neural network functional connectivity across seven resting-state networks.

Bromodomain and extra-terminal (BET) proteins are critical regulators of gene transcription, as they recognize acetylated lysine residues. The BD1 bromodomain of BRD4, a member of the BET family, has emerged as a promising therapeutic target for various diseases. This study aimed to develop and evaluate a novel C-11 labeled PET radiotracer, [C]YL10, for imaging the BD1 bromodomain of BRD4 in vivo.

Florbetaben (FBB) is a radiopharmaceutical approved by the FDA and EMA in 2014 for the positron emission tomography (PET) imaging of brain amyloid deposition in patients with cognitive impairment who are being evaluated for Alzheimer's disease (AD) or other causes of cognitive decline. Initially, the clinical adoption of FBB PET faced significant barriers, including reimbursement challenges and uncertainties regarding its integration into diagnostic clinical practice. This review examines the progress made in overcoming these obstacles and describes the concurrent evolution of the diagnostic landscape.

Military breachers are routinely exposed to repetitive low-level blast overpressure, placing them at elevated risk for long-term neurological sequelae. Mounting evidence suggests that circulating brain-reactive autoantibodies, generated following CNS injury, may serve as both biomarkers of cumulative damage and drivers of secondary neuroinflammation. In this study, we compared circulating autoantibody profiles in military breachers ( = 18) with extensive blast exposure against unexposed military controls ( = 19).
