Countercurrent chromatography (CCC) is an efficient technique for purifying bioactive natural compounds, but selecting the solvent system can be a time-consuming and crucial process for successful separation. This paper discussed the HPLC-assisted mathematical prediction method for the n-hexane/alcohol solvents/water (HAWat) and ethyl acetate/n-butanol/water (EBuWat) systems and designed an intelligent online selection system to simplify the separation process. First, the applicable rage of HAWat and EBuWat solvent systems were quantified by the methanol concentration at the column inlet when template molecules peak in a HPLC analysis (B%).

Background: Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)-guided vacuum-assisted breast biopsy (VABB) is an increasingly requested procedure, but it implies training and experience both in its execution and in determining radiological-pathological concordance and is therefore performed in dedicated breast centers. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the diagnostic performance of MRI-guided vacuum-assisted biopsy and to determine the upgrade rate after surgery or follow-up.
Methods: We retrospectively evaluated all consecutive patients with suspicious MRI findings without corresponding mammographic and ultrasonographic findings who underwent MRI-guided vacuum-assisted breast biopsy (VABB) at our Institution from November 2020 to March 2023.

Compared with traditional far-field objective lenses, microparticle lenses have a distinct advantage of nonobservance of the diffraction limit, which has attracted extensive attention for its application in subwavelength photolithography and super-resolution imaging. In this article, a complete simulation model for a microparticle lens assisted microscopic imaging system was built to analyze the imaging characteristics of any shape of microparticle lens. With this model, we simulated the resolution of a conventional objective lens, a microsphere lens and a hollow microsphere lens, which verified the correctness of our simulation model and demonstrated the super-resolution imaging ability of microsphere lenses.

This paper presents a patient with situs inversus totalis and congenitally corrected transposition of the great arteries, with pacing-induced cardiomyopathy and severe systemic atrioventricular valve regurgitation. The patient underwent upgrade to cardiac resynchronization therapy with addition of a systemic right ventricular free wall pacing lead implanted through the coronary sinus.

. Prompt gamma-ray timing is an emerging technology in the field of particle therapy treatment verification. This system measures the arrival times of gamma rays produced in the patient body and uses the cyclotron radio frequency signal as time reference for the beam micro-bunches.
