We demonstrate that dissociative ionization of H_{2} can be fully manipulated in an angle-time-resolved fashion, employing a polarization-skewed (PS) laser pulse in which the polarization vector rotates. The leading and falling edges of the PS laser pulse, characterized by unfolded field polarization, trigger, sequentially, parallel and perpendicular transitions of stretching H_{2} molecules, respectively. These transitions result in counterintuitive proton ejections that deviate significantly from the laser polarization directions. Our findings demonstrate that the reaction pathways can be controlled through fine-tuning the time-dependent polarization of the PS laser pulse. The experimental results are well reproduced using an intuitive wave-packet surface propagation simulation method. This research highlights the potential of PS laser pulses as powerful tweezers to resolve and manipulate complex laser-molecule interactions.

Fiber Bragg gratings (FBGs) inscribed by UV light and different femtosecond laser techniques (phase mask, point-by-point, and plane-by-plane) were exposed-in several irradiation cycles-to accumulated high doses of gamma rays (up to 124 MGy) and neutron fluence (8.7 × 10/cm) in a research-grade nuclear reactor. The FBG peak wavelengths were measured continuously in order to monitor radiation-induced shifts.

Knee osteoarthritis (OA) is the most prevalent form of osteoarthritis and a leading cause of chronic pain in adults. This study aimed to compare the short-term effects of extracorporeal shock wave therapy (ESWT), low-level laser therapy (LLLT), and pulsed electromagnetic field therapy (PEMF) on pain, function, and quality of life in patients with knee OA. A hundred and twenty patients with Kellgren-Lawrence grade 2-3 knee OA were randomized into four groups: ESWT (once a week for three sessions), LLLT (twice a week for eight sessions), PEMF (twice a week for eight sessions), and a control group with 30 patients in each group.

Deep eutectic solvents (DES) have emerged as versatile, sustainable media for the synthesis of nanomaterials due to their low toxicity, tunability, and biocompatibility. This study develops a one-step method to modify commercially available screen-printed electrodes (SPE) using laser-induced pyrolysis of DES, consisting of choline chloride and tartaric acid with dissolved nickel acetate and dispersed graphene. The electrodes were patterned using a 532 nm continuous-wave laser for the in situ formation of Ni nanoparticles decorated on graphene sheets directly on the SPE surface (Ni-G/SPE).

Recently, ultrafast laser direct writing has become an effective method for preparing flexible films with micro-nano structures. However, effective control of laser parameters to obtain acceptable micro-nano structures and the effect of micro-nano structure sizes on function of the film remain challenges. Additionally, flexible films with high X-band transmittance are urgently required in aerospace and other fields.

Gallium nitride (GaN) exhibits distinctive physical and chemical properties that render it indispensable in a multitude of electronic and optoelectronic devices. Given that GaN is a typical hard and brittle material that is difficult to machine, femtosecond laser technology provides an effective and convenient tool for processing such materials. However, GaN undergoes complex physical and chemical changes during high-power ablation, which poses a challenge to high-precision processing with controllable geometry.
