A better understanding of protective factors against childhood depression may allow for the mitigation of severe and chronic symptoms and the timely implementation of intervention strategies. This study investigated the protective effect of having a secure base script on depressive symptoms when children face daily stressors. To test this hypothesis, moderation analyses were performed in a cross-sectional study with 378 children (48.5% boys, 51.5%) aged 8-12 years ( = 10.20; = 0.57). The results provided some support for the moderation effect when secure base script knowledge was investigated as a categorical variable in middle childhood. However, the results did not support the moderation effect when investigating secure base script as a continuous variable. Therefore, future investigations may need to address whether a categorical approach could better elucidate the protective role of secure base script knowledge in childhood depression.

Securing Antarctica's Environmental Future, School of Biological Sciences, Monash University, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.
Antarctica is one of Earth's most untouched, inhospitable, and poorly known regions. Although knowledge of its biodiversity has increased over recent decades, a diverse, wide-ranging, and spatially explicit compilation of the biodiversity that inhabits Antarctica's permanently ice-free areas is unavailable. This absence hinders both Antarctic biodiversity research and the integration of Antarctica in global biodiversity-related studies.

Population growth has led to excessive land use, affecting soil suitability and sustainability. Detailed soil characterization and land evaluation for various land uses are essential steps toward achieving food security and sustaining the environment. This study classifies soils and assesses their suitability for tomato cultivation using the FAO Land Assessment Framework and Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) model.

Antarctica, Earth's least understood and most remote continent, is threatened by human disturbances and climate-related changes, underscoring the imperative for biodiversity inventories to inform conservation. Antarctic ecosystems support unique species and genetic diversity, deliver essential ecosystem services and contribute to planetary stability. We present Antarctica's first comprehensive ecosystem classification and map of ice-free lands, which host most of the continent's biodiversity.

Objective: This study evaluated the impact of adding authentic patient video training to a base e-module featuring simulated patient videos, aimed at improving the mental status examination (MSE) skills of fifth-year medical students during their psychiatric rotation.
Methods: A randomized controlled trial (RCT) was conducted with 290 students, assigned to either an experimental group, the full e-learning group (Full), or an active comparator group, the limited e-learning group (Limited). The Limited group received a base e-module on MSE, while the Full group received both the base e-module and an additional module with 23 authentic patient videos.
