One chromone (), together with four known alkaloids, were isolated from the mangrove endophytic fungus sp. ZJ-68. Their structures were elucidated by a combination of HRESIMS and NMR spectroscopic analyses. Compound showed strong anti-inflammatory activity by inhibiting nitric oxide (NO) production in lipopolysaccharide-activated RAW264.7 cells with an IC value of 4.094 ± 0.8 μM, which was better than positive drug indomethacin (IC=35.8 ± 0.5 μM).

In this study, Allium sativum, garlic, was selected to isolate endophytic bacteria and to evaluate the antimicrobial, antiviral, antioxidant, and cytotoxic activities of their produced metabolites followed by identification of the biosynthetic gene cluster of the antimicrobial metabolites using Oxford Nanopore Technology (ONT). Two bacterial isolates, C6 and C11, were found to have a broad-spectrum antagonistic effect against four standard microbial strains and were molecularly identified using 16 S ribosomal RNA sequence analysis and deposited in a local culture collection as B. velezensis CCASU-C6, and B.

Abies pindrow, a vital conifer in the Kashmir Himalayan forests, faces threats from low regeneration rates, deforestation, grazing, and climate change, highlighting the urgency for restoration efforts. In this context, we investigated the diversity of potential culturable seed endophytes in A. pindrow, assessed their plant growth-promoting (PGP) activities, and their impact on seed germination and seedling growth.

Plants employ various defense mechanisms to protect themselves from invaders such as microorganisms and herbivores. By recognizing these threats, plants can trigger a cascade of responses throughout their tissues, effectively priming their defenses and enhancing their resistance to future attacks. In this study, we examined the indirect effects of the entomopathogenic fungi Beauveria bassiana strain GHA and Metarhizium anisopliae strain F01 on tomato growth, expression of selected plant genes, production of secondary metabolites, and preference and performance of the tomato leafminer (Tuta absoluta).

The sesquiterpenoids nigrosporinol sulfoxides A () and B () have been isolated from cultures of the endophytic fungus harvested from the sunchoke L. collected in Thailand. Nigrosporinol sulfoxides A () and B () have 4/5/5/5/7 heterocyclic skeletons featuring a sulfoxide bridge not previously found in a terpenoid natural product from any living source.

The endophytic fungus Serendipita indica (Si) could suppress Phoma arachidicola (Pa) and control peanut web blotch disease. The study evaluated its growth-promoting and disease-resistant effects in two peanut cultivars, Luhua11 and Baisha1016. In vitro experiments and microscopy analysis demonstrated that S.
