Purpose: To develop a non-contrast computed tomography(NCCT)based radiomics model for predicting intraparenchymal hemorrhage progression in patients with mild to moderate traumatic brain injury(TBI).
Methods: We retrospectively analyzed 166 mild to moderate TBI patients with intraparenchymal hemorrhage from January 2018 to December 2021. The enrolled patients were divided into training cohort and test cohort with a ratio of 6:4. Uni- and multivariable logistic regression analyses were implemented to screen clinical-radiological factors and to establish a clinical-radiological model. Model performance was evaluated by the area under the receiver operating characteristic curve (AUC), the calibration curve, the decision curve analysis, sensitivity, and specificity.
Results: Eleven radiomics features, presence with SDH, and D-dimer > 5 mg/l were selected to construct the combined clinical-radiomic model for the prediction of TICH in mild to moderate TBI patients. The AUC of the combined model was 0.81(95% confidence interval (CI), 0.72 to 0.90) in the training cohort and 0.88 (95% CI 0.79 to 0.96) in the test cohort, which were superior to the clinical model alone (AUC = 0.72, AUC = 0.74). The calibration curve demonstrated that the radiomics nomogram had a good agreement between prediction and observation. Decision curve analysis confirmed clinically useful.
Conclusions: The combined clinical-radiomic model that incorporates the radiomics score and clinical risk factors can serve as a reliable and powerful tool for Predicting intraparenchymal hemorrhage progression for patients with mild to moderate TBI.

Although numerous studies have focused on diagnostic biomarkers to help identify allergic rhinitis (AR), data on the characteristics of pediatric AR with different severity is limited. We aimed to compare the characteristics of pediatric AR with different severity. A total of 1054 children with AR were enrolled and classified into mild intermittent AR, mild persistent AR, moderate-to-severe intermittent AR, and moderate-to-severe persistent AR.

The pandemic of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) had a major impact on the health of people worldwide, including the pediatric inflammatory bowel disease (PIBD) patients. As no study has investigated the susceptibility and disease course of COVID-19 in PIBD patients after the end of zero-COVID policy in China, we conducted a retrospective cross-sectional study in our center. A cross-sectional survey enrolling PIBD patients has been completed by online survey, phone, and face-to-face assessment.

Background: Chronic spontaneous urticaria (CSU) appears to share some pathomechanisms with metabolic syndrome (MS), such as proinflammatory state, increased oxidative stress, changes in adipokine profile, and coagulation system activation.
Aim And Objectives: To evaluate clinical and laboratory parameters of MS in CSU patients and to assess relationship of MS with duration and severity of CSU, Ig-E, thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH), C-reactive protein (CRP), and autologous serum skin test (ASST).
Materials And Methods: A hospital-based cross-sectional study was conducted on 131 CSU cases and 131 controls who were age- and sex-matched.

Supracricoid partial laryngectomy is a surgical treatment for advanced laryngeal cancer which is implemented to preserve organ function, but it may cause obstructive sleep apnea syndrome (OSAS) due to anatomical changes after surgery that may be neglected by clinicians. Although the gold standard for the diagnosis of OSAS is polysomnography, respiratory polygraphy is an alternative valid method with a high level of diagnostic sensitivity and specificity; since the equipment is portable, it can be used at home, with no need for hospitalization. To describe the polygraphy result of patients submitted to supracricoid partial laryngectomy.

Background: Infertility constitutes a leading reproductive health problem with profound psychosocial outcomes, including elevated depressive symptoms that compromise quality of life (QoL). While the literature has suggested social support as a protective psychological mechanism, its role in depressive symptoms and QoL among women with infertility remains underexplored. This study aimed to examine the moderating effect of perceived social support on the relationship between depressive symptoms and QoL among South Korean women experiencing infertility.
