Cultural and personal values interact to predict divorce.

Commun Psychol

January 2025

Hebrew University Business School, The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Jerusalem, Israel.

We investigate the role of values in motivating the dissolution of marriage. Drawing on comprehensive value frameworks, we study how cultural values explain cross-national variation in divorce, how personal values explain further variation within nations, and how the two value systems interact together. In three archival studies, including more than 100,000 participants from over 55 countries, we study attitudes toward divorce as well as actual divorce.

This study is the first to examine the determinants of future anxiety in South Korea using the Social Ecological Model (SEM). It aimed to show that, beyond individual factors, mezzo- and macro-level aspects, particularly those related to housing, may influence anxiety. Utilizing 2018 data from the Korean Health Panel Survey, we employed a three-level multilevel analysis to investigate how these factors contribute to the perception of future anxiety among Koreans.

The PI4K2A gene positively regulates lipid synthesis in bovine mammary epithelial cells and attenuates the inhibitory effect of t10,c12-CLA on lipid synthesis.

Sci Rep

College of Animal Science and Technology, Ningxia Key Laboratory of Ruminant Molecular and Cellular Breeding, Ningxia University, Yinchuan, 750021, China.

Currently, the identification of valuable candidate genes affecting milk fat synthesis in dairy cows is still limited, and the specific regulatory mechanism is still unknown. In this study, we used primary bovine mammary epithelial cells(BMECs)as a model and utilized overexpression and knockdown techniques for the PI4K2A gene to investigate the specific mechanisms by which it regulates lipid metabolism in BMECs. We studied whether PI4K2A regulates the inhibition of trans-10, cis-12 conjugated linoleic acid (t10,c12-CLA) on lipid synthesis in BMECs.

Multi task opinion enhanced hybrid BERT model for mental health analysis.

Sci Rep

January 2025

Department of Computer Science, College of Computer and Information Sciences, King Saud University, 11543, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Understanding the nuanced emotions and points of view included in user-generated content remains challenging, even though text data analysis for mental health is a crucial instrument for assessing emotional well-being. Most current models neglect the significance of integrating viewpoints in comprehending mental health in favor of single-task learning. To offer a more thorough knowledge of mental health, in this study, we present an Opinion-Enhanced Hybrid BERT Model (Opinion-BERT), built to handle multi-task learning for simultaneous sentiment and status categorization.

Impact of pollution on microbiological dynamics in the pistil stigmas of Orobanche lutea flowers (Orobanchaceae).

Sci Rep

January 2025

Center for Research and Conservation of Biodiversity, Department of Environmental Biology, Institute of Biology, Jan Kochanowski University, Uniwersytecka 7, 25-406, Kielce, Poland.

Our understanding of the basic relationships of microbiota associated with flowers is still quite limited, especially regarding parasitic plant species. The transient nature of flower parts such as pistil stigmas provides a unique opportunity for temporal investigations. This is the first report of the analysis of bacterial and fungal communities associated with the pistil stigmas of the lucerne parasite, Orobanche lutea.
