Some theoretical and practical problems of controlling industrial environment and biological substrates in the CMEA countries are discussed. Particular attention has been paid to the unification of methodological instructions concerning common requirements and methods of supervision, as also to the coordination and unification of the methods of determining some chemical compounds in the air of the working zone and in biological materials.

Objective: We sought to determine the cost-effectiveness (CE) of lymph node dissection (LND) at the time of hysterectomy for endometrial intraepithelial neoplasia (EIN).
Methods: A decision analytic model was created to evaluate the strategies of routine full LND, sentinel lymph node dissection (SNLD), SNLD without advancing to full LND in the event of non-mapping, and full LND based on Mayo Criteria, versus no LND. Patients in the no LND group and those in the SLND group without advancement to full LND in the event of non-mapping who were found to have EC on final pathology and suspicious post-operative imaging underwent full LND.

Background: West Nile virus (WNV), although underdiagnosed, is the most common mosquito-borne disease and the second most common cause of viral encephalitis in the United States. Fewer than 1% of those infected develop neuroinvasive disease.
Methods: We present a cluster of 3 cases of neuroinvasive WNV that occurred between August and September 2023 and a review of the literature for neurologic involvement with this virus.

Preeclampsia is a life-threatening complication that develops in 2-8% of pregnancies. It is characterized by elevated blood pressure after 20 weeks of gestation and may progress to multiorgan dysfunction, leading to severe maternal and fetal morbidity and mortality. The only definitive treatment is delivery, and efforts are focused on early risk prediction, surveillance, and severity mitigation.
