Background: Subjects with immune-mediated inflammatory diseases (IMID), such as rheumatoid arthritis, with tuberculosis infection (TBI), have a high probability of progressing to tuberculosis disease (TB). We aim to characterize the impact of IMID on the immune response to (Mtb) in patients with TBI and TB disease.
Methods: We enrolled TBI and TB patients with and without IMID.

Cellular senescence, a hallmark of aging, has emerged as a captivating area of research in tumor immunology with profound implications for cancer prevention and treatment. In the tumor microenvironment, senescent cells exhibit a dual role, simultaneously hindering tumor development through collaboration with immune cells and evading immune cell attacks by upregulating immunoinhibitory proteins. However, the intricate immune escape mechanism of cellular senescence in the tumor microenvironment remains a subject of intense investigation.

: During the acute phase of COVID-19, a number of immunological abnormalities have been reported, but few studies longitudinally analyzed the specific subsets of peripheral blood lymphocytes. : In this observational, prospective, and longitudinal study, adult patients developing acute pneumonia during the COVID-19 pandemic have been followed up for 12 months. Peripheral blood lymphocyte subsets were assessed (with a specific focus on the memory markers) at 6 time points after the disease onset until 12 months.
