: No studies have reported on prognostic markers in patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) according to the severity of the disease. Therefore, in this multicenter, prospective trial performed as part of the Gunma CKD SPECT Multicenter Study, we recruited 311 patients with CKD (eGFR < 60 min/mL/1.73 m) including 50 patients on hemodialysis and followed them for 2 years. The study sample underwent stress Tc-tetrofosmin SPECT for suspected or possible ischemic heart disease. We evaluated the summed stress score (SSS), summed rest score (SRS), summed difference score (SDS) and cardiac function with electrocardiogram-gated SPECT. Then, we compared the differences in prognostic markers for major adverse cardiac, cerebrovascular, and renal events (MACCRE) between patients with mild CKD (30 min/mL/1.73 m ≤ eGFR <60 min/mL/1.73 m; n=184) and those with severe CKD (eGFR <30 min/mL/1.73 m; n=97). : Of 281 patients available for analysis, 91 experienced MACCRE. In a multivariate Cox proportional hazards analysis of factors related to MACCRE, in patients with mild CKD the significant prognostic markers were SDS (=0.002) and end-systolic volume (ESV, =0.034); and in the patients with severe CKD, they were eGFR (=0.03) and diabetes-mellitus (DM, =0.023). : Our findings indicate that SDS and ESV are significant prognostic markers for MACCRE in patients with mild CKD and eGFR and DM are significant prognostic markers in patients with severe CKD.

Background: Fetal growth restriction (FGR) is a leading risk factor for stillbirth, yet the diagnosis of FGR confers considerable prognostic uncertainty, as most infants with FGR do not experience any morbidity. Our objective was to use data from a large, deeply phenotyped observational obstetric cohort to develop a probabilistic graphical model (PGM), a type of "explainable artificial intelligence (AI)", as a potential framework to better understand how interrelated variables contribute to perinatal morbidity risk in FGR.

Methods: Using data from 9,558 pregnancies delivered at ≥ 20 weeks with available outcome data, we derived and validated a PGM using randomly selected sub-cohorts of 80% (n = 7645) and 20% (n = 1,912), respectively, to discriminate cases of FGR resulting in composite perinatal morbidity from those that did not.

Purpose: Evaluation of the prognostic significance of four different scoring systems in a real-world cohort of patients with metastatic urothelial carcinoma (mUC) or renal cell carcinoma (mRCC) undergoing immunotherapy (IO).

Methods: For 120 patients with mUC (n = 67) and mRCC (n = 53) who received IO between July 2016 and December 2020 at the tertiary Urological University Medical Centre Mannheim, the following scores were recorded at pre-treatment baseline: modified Glasgow prognostic score (mGPS), systemic immune-inflammation index (SII), neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR), neutrophil-to-eosinophil ratio (NER).
