With far-red-light supplementation (3 W·m, and 6 W·m), the flower budding rate, plant height, internode length, plant display, and stem diameter of Chinese kale were largely elevated, as well as the leaf morphology such as leaf length, leaf width, petiole length, and leaf area. Consequently, the fresh weight and dry weight of the edible parts of Chinese kale were markedly increased. The photosynthetic traits were enhanced, and the mineral elements were accumulated. To further explore the mechanism that far-red light simultaneously promoted the vegetative growth and reproductive growth of Chinese kale, this study used RNA sequencing to gain a global perspective on the transcriptional regulation, combining it with an analysis of composition and content of phytohormones. A total of 1409 differentially expressed genes were identified, involved mainly in pathways related to photosynthesis, plant circadian rhythm, plant hormone biosynthesis, and signal transduction. The gibberellins GA, GA, and GA and the auxin ME-IAA were strongly accumulated under far-red light. However, the contents of the gibberellins GA and GA, the cytokinins IP and cZ, and the jasmonate JA were significantly reduced by far-red light. The results indicated that the supplementary far-red light can be a useful tool to regulate the vegetative architecture, elevate the density of cultivation, enhance the photosynthesis, increase the mineral accumulation, accelerate the growth, and obtain a significantly higher yield of Chinese kale.

Glyphosate (Gly) is a widely used herbicide for weed control in agriculture, but it can also adversely affect crops by impairing growth, reducing yield, and disrupting nutrient uptake, while inducing toxicity. Therefore, adopting integrated eco-friendly approaches and understanding the mechanisms of glyphosate tolerance in plants is crucial, as these areas remain underexplored. This study provides proteome insights into Si-mediated improvement of Gly-toxicity tolerance in Brassica napus.

Background: Chinese cabbage is a cross-pollinated crop with remarkable heterosis, and male-sterile line is an important mean to produce its hybrids. In this study, a male-sterile mutant msm7 was isolated from a Chinese cabbage DH line 'FT' by using EMS-mutagenesis.
Results: Compared with the wild-type 'FT', the anthers of mutant msm7 were completely aborted, accompanied by the defects in leaf and petal development.

As the antibiotic resistance of pathogens becomes increasingly severe, it is becoming more feasible to use methods that suppress the virulence of pathogens rather than exerting selective pressure on their growth. , a dangerous opportunistic pathogen, infects hosts by producing multiple virulence factors, which are regulated by quorum-sensing (QS) systems, including the systems, systems, and systems. This study used the chromosome transcription fusion reporter model to screen the traditional Chinese medicine monomer library and found that bakuchiol can effectively inhibit the system and related virulence phenotypes of , including the production of virulence factors (pyocyanin, hydrogen cyanide, elastase, and lectin) and motility (swarming, swimming, and twitching motility) without affecting its growth.
