Background: South Asians may be particularly susceptible to premature myocardial infarction (MI) owing both to conventional cardiovascular risk factors and practices distinctive to South Asia. Identifying modifiable risk factors for MI in these populations could inform prevention strategies. We have, therefore, studied conventional risk factors and other characteristics in relation to occurrence of first MI in Bangladesh.

A significant component of health professions education is focussed on students' exposure to the social determinants of health and the challenges that patients within the health care system face. An appropriate way to provide such exposure is through distributed clinical training. This usually entails students training in smaller groups along the continuum of care, away from tertiary academic hospitals.

Background: Co-creation approaches, such as co-design and co-production, aspire to power-sharing and collaboration between service providers and service users, recognising the specific insights each group can provide to improve health and other public services. However, an intentional focus on equity-based approaches grounded in lived experience and epistemic justice is required considering entrenched structural inequities between service-users and service-providers in public and institutional spaces where co-creation happens.
Objectives: This paper presents a Charter of tenets and principles to foster a new era of 'Equity-based Co-Creation' (EqCC).

Nursing academicians are positioned at a critical juncture to mold the future generations of nursing with the skills of cultural humility, starting with fostering humility in the classroom. The dynamic culture of nursing education, with consideration of the diversity of nursing students and faculty, commands attention before the exploration of what is taught about the culture of patients. Classroom cultural humility must become the "brave space" of nursing academia.
