Single-molecule electron sources of fullerenes driven via constant electric fields, approximately 1 nm in size, produce peculiar emission patterns, such as a cross or a two-leaf pattern. By illuminating the electron sources with femtosecond light pulses, we discovered that largely modulated emission patterns appeared from single molecules. Our simulations revealed that emission patterns, which have been an intractable question for over seven decades, represent single-molecule molecular orbitals. Furthermore, the observed modulations originated from variations of single-molecule molecular orbitals, practically achieving the subnanometric optical modulation of an electron source.

We aimed to conduct a randomised controlled trial to test whether ecolabels reduce the environmental impact of food selected in worksite cafeterias, alone or in combination with increased availability of more sustainable meal options.

The preparation of new phosphor with outstanding luminescent properties for white light-emitting diodes (WLEDs) is consistently a challenging. Here in the present study, A novel white-emitting chloropatite phosphor Ca(PO)Cl:Eu was synthesized via the pechini sol gel synthesis with citric acid and polyethylene glycol (PEG) acid as a fuel at 850 °C systematically investigating the impact of doping concentration and synthesis temperature on both photoluminescence properties and crystal phase. The structural characteristics and crystalline nature of the prepared sample were investigated by using X-ray diffraction (XRD) patterns and Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectra.

To elucidate the potential roles of presynaptic and postsynaptic serotonergic activity in impulsivity traits, we investigated the relationship between self-reported impulsiveness and serotonin transporter (5-HTT) and 5-HT2A receptors in healthy individuals. In this study, 26 participants completed 3-Tesla magnetic resonance imaging and positron emission tomography with [C]DASB and [C]MDL100907. To quantify 5-HTT and 5-HT2A receptor availability, the binding potential (BP) of [C]DASB and [C]MDL100907 was derived using the simplified reference tissue model with cerebellar gray matter as the reference region.
