The study aimed to establish a bioassay for total bioactivity of (AL) in human serum samples. Inhibition of bacterial growth ( ATCC 25923) was assessed using 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide assay. The calibration curve (0, 0.39, 0.78, 1.56, 3.13, 2.56, and 50 ng/μl) was linear with correlation coefficients >0.990. The limit of quantification (LOQ) was 1.66 mg/ml using 20-ml serum sample. The developed bioassay method meets the standard of the bioanalytical method for determination of serum bioactivity of AL.

Establishing an accurate prognosis for women diagnosed with breast cancer (BC) is extremely challenging. Axillary lymph node (ALN) evaluation is considered of major prognostic value. The one-step nucleic acid amplification (OSNA) assay is currently used for assessing axillary sentinel lymph node (SLN) status in BC.

Purpose: Triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) is a disease associated with high incidence and high mortality, which is a major problem threatening women's health. Xiaoyao Sanjie Decoction (XYSJD) exhibits remarkable therapeutic efficacy on TNBC; however, the underlying mechanism is unclear. This study verified the efficacy of XYSJD and its active component in the treatment of TNBC and explored its potential mechanism.

Background: Cognitive dysfunction is a symptom of depression (MDD). While the involvement of the immune system has long been suggested to contribute to the biological underpinnings of depression, less is known about the underpinnings of cognitive dysfunction. A recent genome-wide association study pointed to genes related to immune function to be relevant for cognitive processes in depression.

Porcine circovirus type 2 (PCV2) is the major causative agent of postweaning multisystemic wasting syndrome which leads to significant economic losses in the global swine industry. In China, there is a widespread dissemination of PCV2 infection in the pig population. Serological diagnosis of the disease is considered as an effective control measure.

Objective: To explore the biological relationship between the regulatory signal pathways involved in differentially expressed genes and recurrent spontaneous abortion (RSA) by analyzing the gene expression microarray data of unexplained RSA.

Methods: The gene expression profile data of chorionic villi from unexplained recurrent abortion with normal karyotype and selective induced abortion were compared. Differentially expressed genes were analyzed by the "Limma" package in R Studio, and Gene Ontology(GO) and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes(KEGG) pathway enrichment analysis were carried out with "Cluster Profiler" and "org.
