Dimensionality plays a vital role at the nanoscale in tuning the electronical and photophysical properties and surface features of perovskite nanocrystals. Here, 3D and 1D all-inorganic CsPbBr nanocrystals were chosen as model materials to systemically reveal the dimensionality-dependent effect in photocatalytic H evolution. In terms of facilitating photoinduced electron-hole pair separation and charge transfer, as well as inducing proton reduction potential with the presence of fewer Br vacancies, 1D CsPbBr nanorods gave about a 5-fold improvement for solar H evolution.

A dual supersaturation recrystallization method was employed to synthesize water-stable, highly sensitive cesium-lead halide perovskite nanocrystals (CsPbBr PNCs). The PNCs exhibited excellent water stability, a significant photoluminescence quantum efficiency of 83.03%, along with a narrow full width at half maximum (FWHM) of 20 nm.

The desorption of conventional ligands from the surface of halide perovskite nanocrystals (NCs) often causes their structural instability and deterioration of the optoelectronic properties. To address this challenge, we present an approach of using a bidentate Lewis base ligand, namely, 1,4-bis(diphenylphosphino)butane (DBPP), for the synthesis of CsPbBr NCs. The phosphine group of DBPP has a strong interaction with the PbBr precursor, forming a highly crystalline intermediate complex during the reaction.

Single-particle photoluminescence measurements have been extensively utilized to investigate the charge carrier dynamics in quantum dots (QDs). Among these techniques, single dot blinking studies are effective for probing relatively slower processes with timescales >10 ms, whereas fluorescence correlation spectroscopy (FCS) studies are suited for recording faster processes with timescales typically <1 ms. In this study, we utilized scanning FCS (sFCS) to bridge the ms gap, thereby enabling the tracking of carrier dynamics across an extended temporal window ranging from μs to subsecond.

Metal-halide perovskites (MHPs) have gained substantial interest in the energy and optoelectronics field. MHPs in nanostructure forms, such as nanocrystals and nanowires (NWs), have further expanded the horizons for perovskite nanodevices in geometry and properties. A partial anion exchange within the nanostructure, creating axial heterojunctions, has significantly augmented the potential applications.

CsPbBr perovskite has garnered significant attention in the field of optoelectronics due to its exceptional photoelectric properties. In this study, we report the fabrication of a piezoelectric nanogenerator (PNG) composed of a composite of monoclinic phase CsPbBr nanocrystals and polydimethylsiloxane. This is the first instance of a PNG based on the monoclinic phase of CsPbBr.
