Purpose: The purpose of this brief was to describe the development of the concept transcending health values and its application among the conservative Anabaptist community.

Method: This phenomenon was developed using an established 10- phase concept building process. Initially, a practice story emerged from an encounter that led to the development of the concept and core qualities. The core qualities identified were delay in health seeking behaviors, comfort in connectedness, and ease in cultural tension. The concept was viewed from the lens of The Theory of Cultural Marginality, which also provided its theoretical grounding.

Results: A structural model visually represented the concept and core qualities. A mini-saga (synthesis of the themes of the story) and a mini-synthesis (description of the population, concept definition, and research application) crystallized the concept's essence.

Implications And Application: Qualitative study to further understand this phenomenon in context of health seeking behaviors among the conservative Anabaptist community is warranted.

Background: Ventilator-associated pneumonia (VAP) is a frequent and severe complication among newborns in neonatal intensive care units (NICUs). It is associated with elevated morbidity and mortality rates, more extended hospital stays and increased health care costs. Implementing preventive care bundles and structured sets of evidence-based practices reduces VAP incidence.

In recent years, the phenomenon of zinc pollution in orchards has become increasingly serious, and the safety of apple production is facing a major risk. Therefore, exploring excellent genes for zinc tolerance has a positive effect on apples. Up to now, there is still a lack of attention on genes related to zinc stress tolerance in apples.

Objectives: ;Antimicrobial stewardship programs (ASP) aim to improve the quality of medical prescribing and contain antimicrobial resistance (AMR). There is little information on the implementation of ASP in hospitals in Mexico. This study aimed to characterize ASP in a sample of hospitals in Mexico and to identify the facilitators and barriers perceived in their implementation, including the COVID-19 pandemic.

Metal(oid) concentrations in coastal sediments are often due to the contribution of anthropogenic inputs to the local geochemistry. This study aims to assess the source (lithogenic or anthropogenic) of metal(oid)s in the surface sediments of the eastern sector of the Gulf of Trieste, which is the area most impacted by urban and industrial activities. A comparison with the environmental quality standards (EQSs) defined by the legislation showed that threshold levels were exceeded for Cr, Ni, Hg, Pb, As and Cd.

The relationship between sleep deprivation, obesity, and systemic inflammation is a critical area of investigation due to its significant impact on health. While it is established that poor sleep adversely affects obesity and metabolic syndromes, the specific mechanisms, particularly subclinical inflammation independent of obesity, remain unclear. This study investigates how sleep quality influences monocyte subclass distribution and its association with systemic inflammation across a spectrum of body mass index categories.
