Panchromatic azaborondipyrromethenes directly connected with N,N-ditolylaniline (TPA) and naphthalene (Naph) at 1,7- and/or 3,5-positions of the azaBODIPY platform, 1, 2, and 3, were synthesized and the roles of the individual chromophore constituents in the photo-induced energy and electron transfer processes have been investigated. Optical absorption studies have indicated that integrating the complementary absorbers, naphthalene and TPA moieties, into the azaBODIPY core yielded broad-band capturing dyes with the absorption ranging from 250-1000 nm. Parallel electrochemical studies revealed that TPA moiety in 1 and 2 is easier to oxidize when compared to azaBODIPY moiety, which are in congruent with the computational studies indicating that TPA moiety would behave as an electron donor and azaBODIPY as an acceptor in PET processes. Steady-state fluorescence studies indicated that the photo-excitation of the TPA moiety in 2 resulted in the occurrence of PET from TPA* to azaBODIPY generating (TPA) ⋅-(azaBODIPY) ⋅ while that of naphthalene in 3 resulted in PEnT from (naphthalene)* to azaBODIPY forming (Naph) - (azaBODIPY)*. Interestingly, in 1, excitation of naphthalene moiety resulted in sequential PEnT from (naphthalene)* to azaBODIPY followed by the PET from TPA to (azaBODIPY)* generating a charge-separated state, (TPA) ⋅-(azaBODIPY) ⋅-(Naph) Fluorescence lifetime studies have indicated that the electron and energy transfer processes occurred in nanosecond time scales.

Introduction: DU145 and LNCaP are classic prostate cancer cell lines. Characterizing their baseline transcriptomics profiles (without any intervention) can offer insights into baseline genetic features and oncogenic pathways that should be considered while interpreting findings after various experimental interventions such as exogenous gene transfection or drug treatment.

Methods: LNCaP and DU145 cell lines were cultured under normal conditions, followed by RNA extraction, cDNA conversion, library preparation, and RNA sequencing using the Illumina NovaSeq platform.

Objective: Ankle osteoarthritis is a debilitating condition that significantly impairs patients' quality of life. Platelet-rich plasma has emerged as a novel cellular therapy in clinical practice. This study evaluates the clinical efficacy of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) after intervention in ankle disorders, so as to provide strong evidence in support of clinical treatment.

Objective: This study aims to explore the predictive value of endplate morphology and pedicle screw bone quality score on screw loosening after single-level lumbar spinal fusion surgery.

Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted on the clinical data of 207 patients who underwent single-level lumbar spinal fusion (34 in the screw loosening group and 173 in the non-screw loosening group). Univariate analysis and binary logistic regression model analysis were performed using SPSS 27.

Background: Oral fluid contains analytes that may be reflective of health and welfare in pig herds. Additionally, oral fluid collection is a more convenient and cost-effective option when compared to blood sampling, increasing the potential of oral fluid as a non-invasive alternative tool. While a growing number of biomarkers can be measured in porcine oral fluid, the use of these analytes to compare commercial herds in veterinary practice is still limited.
