The aim of the study is to describe the modified all-arthroscopic technique for triangular fibrocartilage complex (TFCC) ligamentoplasty in chronic injuries of the TFCC with distal radioulnar joint (DRUJ) instability, and to present the results obtained.  A prospective study was conducted including 11 consecutive patients with chronic TFCC injury with DRUJ instability who underwent an all-arthroscopic TFCC ligamentoplasty. During follow-up, the range of joint motion, grip strength, pain according to the visual analog scale (VAS), functional outcomes according to the Mayo Wrist Score (MWS), and the QuickDASH Score were measured, and any complications and necessary reinterventions were recorded  We analyzed 11 patients with distal radioulnar ligament injury treated using the all-arthroscopic ligamentoplasty technique. Mean follow-up was 31.5 ± 4.4 (range 12-58) months. The technique presented achieved DRUJ stability in 100% of cases at 12 months. Grip strength and pain, showed a statistically significant improvement between the preoperative score and the two postoperative assessments. Functional assessment using the QuickDASH score and the MWS also improved significantly.  The all-arthroscopic technique for the reconstruction of irreparable peripheral TFCC tears is a reliable technique, intended not only to minimize the surgical trauma to reduce postoperative pain and to facilitate rehabilitation, but also to improve both the quality of the reconstruction and the functional outcome.

Recent advances in small-joint arthroscopy and cutting-edge magnetic resonance imaging systems have enabled orthopedic surgeons to perform more complex repairs of the wrist. Such repairs can include those of the triangular fibrocartilage complex (TFCC) of the wrist that necessitates a reappraisal of its morphometry with special emphasis on the relationship between its articular disc (AD) and surrounding tissues. The TFCC AD is a fibrocartilaginous, biconcave structure located between the ulnar styloid process and the carpal bones of the wrist.

This study evaluates the outcomes of arthroscopic triangular fibrocartilage complex (TFCC) foveal reattachment using an inside-out suture passing through the TFCC at specific ulnocarpal anatomical landmarks to grasp the radioulnar ligaments. Thirty-eight patients with a mean age of 36 years (range 19-54), diagnosed with TFCC injury with distal radioulnar joint (DRUJ) instability, underwent arthroscopic inside-out TFCC foveal reattachment using designated suture sites. At a mean follow-up of 32 months (range 26-44), pain score, range of motion, grip strength, Disabilities of the Arm, Shoulder and Hand (DASH) score, and Modified Mayo Wrist Score all showed significant improvement after surgery.

Objective: To investigate the effectivess of arthroscopic Wafer surgery combined with triangular fibrocartilage complex (TFCC) insertion point reconstruction in the treatment of Palmer type ⅡC combined with typeⅠB ulnar impingement syndrome.

Methods: The clinical data of 14 patients with Parlmer type ⅡC combined with type ⅠB ulnar impingement syndrome who met the selection criteria between July 2021 and April 2024 were retrospectively analyzed. There were 7 males and 7 females with an average age of 43 years ranging from 16 to 59 years.

Introduction: The peripheral radioulnar articulation and the bony radioulnar articulation make up the distal radioulnar joint (DRUJ), a diarthrodial trochoid synovial joint stabilizers for soft tissues. Of the DRUJ's stability, only around 20% may be attributed to the bony articulation. Treatment for DRUJ injuries resulting from a solely ligamentous rupture varies and is subject to debate.

This study investigates the gross morphological and morphometric characteristics of thoracic and lumbar intervertebral discs (IVDs) in guinea pigs, utilising micro-CT imaging and anatomical dissection. The findings reveal 13 thoracic and six lumbar IVDs were identified, with thoracic discs transitioning from rounded forms at T1-T3 to triangular and heart-shaped structures at T4-T13, while lumbar IVDs exhibited a consistently flattened heart shape. Morphometric analysis revealed statistically significant differences, with lumbar IVDs being larger in lateral and dorsoventral width, disc area, annulus fibrosus (AF) area and nucleus pulposus (NP) area, and ventral height compared to thoracic discs.
