Method: This study is performed in the context of the Persian Registry of Cardiovascular Disease/Heart Failure (PROVE/HF). We included all patients admitted with ADHF regardless of the etiology of heart failure (HF). LOS was classified in tertiles (<4 days, >4 and <6 days, and >6 days). Our outcomes were 30-day all-cause mortality and rehospitalization. Baseline characteristics and outcomes are reported according to the tertiles of LOS. A binary logistic regression and cox regression analysis were performed to evaluate the association between LOS and rehospitalization and death, respectively.
Results: Between April 2019 and March 2020, 385 patients with ADHF were registered in our study. The mean length of hospitalization was 6.35 ± 5.46 days, varying from a minimum of 0 days to a maximum of 47 days. One hundred patients had a hospital stay lower than 4 days; 151 individuals had an intermediate LOS (4-6 days); and 134 were hospitalized for more than 6 days. Our analysis indicated no association between LOS and 30-day rehospitalization and death in multivariable or univariable models.
Conclusion: This study found no association between LOS and rehospitalization or death in patients admitted with ADHF; however, further investigations are warranted.

Background: Anakinra is an interleukin-1 receptor antagonist (IL-1Ra). Since IL-1 has been shown to play a key role in the etiology of different autoinflammatory diseases, blocking its pathway has become an important therapeutic target, even in neonates.
Aims: We aimed to report our experience in using anakinra to treat specific neonatal inflammatory conditions.

Background: Effective pain recognition and treatment in perioperative environments reduce length of stay and decrease risk of delirium and chronic pain. We sought to develop and validate preliminary computer vision-based approaches for nociception detection in hospitalized patients.
Methods: Prospective observational cohort study using red-green-blue camera detection of perioperative patients.

Objectives: The objective of this study was to characterize the demographic, social, economic, and clinical factors of trauma surgery patients leaving against medical advice (AMA).
Methods: Data were retroactively obtained from a level-one trauma center in a medium-sized metropolitan area from January 2017 to December 2021. The sample population consisted of patients admitted or treated by the trauma surgical service.

Continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) use in people with type 1 diabetes (T1D) is revolutionizing management. Use of CGM in hospital is poised to transform care, however routine use is not currently recommended due to lack of accuracy validation in acute care, including in people with T1D. We aimed to determine real-world CGM accuracy in hospitalized adults with T1D.

Background: The 2021 WHO Classification of Central Nervous System Tumors introduces more molecular markers for glioma reclassification, including TERT promoter (TERTp) mutation as a key feature in glioblastoma diagnosis.
Aims: Given the changes in the entities included in each subtype under the new classification, this research investigated the distribution, prognostic value, and correlations with other molecular alterations of TERTp mutation in different subgroups under this latest classification.
Methods: All glioma patients admitted to Peking Union Medical College Hospital for surgical resection or biopsy from 2011 to 2022 were included.
