A Comprehensive OBD Data Analysis Framework: Identification and Factor Analysis of High-Emission Heavy-Duty Vehicles.

Environ Pollut

January 2025

Tianjin Key Laboratory of Urban Transport Emission Research & State Environmental Protection Key Laboratory of Urban Ambient Air Particulate Matter Pollution Prevention and Control, College of Environmental Science and Engineering, Nankai University, Tianjin, 300071, China.

On-Board Diagnostic (OBD) systems enable real-time monitoring of NOx emissions from heavy-duty diesel vehicles (HDDVs). However, few studies have focused on the root cause analysis of these emissions using OBD data. To address this gap, this study proposes an integrated analysis framework for HDDV NOx emissions that combines data processing, high-emission vehicle identification, and emission cause analysis.

SN2-Reaction-Driven Bonding-Heterointerface Strengthens Buried Adhesion and Orientation for Advanced Perovskite Solar Cells.

Angew Chem Int Ed Engl

January 2025

Shandong University of Science and Technology, Institute of Carbon Neutrality, College of Chemical and Biological Engineering, No 579 Qianwangang Road, Huangdao District, 266590, Qingdao, CHINA.

Traditionally weak buried interaction without customized chemical bonding always goes against the formation of high-quality perovskite film that highly determines the efficiency and stability of perovskite solar cells. To address this issue, herein, we propose a bimolecular nucleophilic substitution reaction (SN2) driving strategy to idealize the robust buried interface by simultaneously decorating underlying substrate and functionalizing [PbX6]4- octahedral framework with iodoacetamide and thiol molecules, respectively. Theoretical and experimental results demonstrate that a strong SN2 reaction between exposed halogen and thiol group in two molecules occurs, which not only benefits the reinforcement of buried adhesion, but also triggers target-point-oriented crystallization, synergistically upgrading the upper perovskite film quality and accelerating interfacial charge extraction-transfer behavior.

Antibiotic resistance gene pollution in poultry farming environments and approaches for mitigation: A system review.

Poult Sci

January 2025

College of Biology and Agriculture, Shaoguan University, Guangdong Provincial Key Laboratory of Utilization and Conservation of Food and Medicinal Resources in Northern Region, Shaoguan, 512005, Guangdong, PR China. Electronic address:

Antibiotic resistance genes (ARG) pollution in poultry farming environments has become increasingly critical, primarily driven by the widespread use of antibiotics in animal husbandry. Prolonged antibiotic use has led to the emergence of ARGs and antibiotic-resistant bacteria, spreading via horizontal and vertical gene transfer. The complexity of ARG pollution in poultry farming arises from the unique farming practices, physiological characteristics of poultry, and manure management methods, with manure, wastewater, and air serving as significant vectors for ARG dissemination.

Hybrid Nanofibrous Membrane with Durable Electret for Anti-Wetting Air Filtration.

Macromol Rapid Commun

January 2025

Innovation Center for Textile Science and Technology, College of Textiles, Donghua University, Shanghai, 201620, China.

Electrospun fibrous materials with fine fibers and small pores are fundamental for particulate matter (PM) filtration, addressing its harmful environmental and health impacts. However, the existing electrospun fibers are still limited to their sub-micron diameters and unstable surface electrostatic effect, leading to deteriorated filtration performance after prolonged storage or wetting. Herein, the study creates nanofibrous membranes with long-time stable electrostatics by electret-enhanced electrospinning.

Somatostatin-expressing neurons in the medial prefrontal cortex promote sevoflurane anesthesia in mice.

Anesthesiology

January 2025

Background: The medial prefrontal cortex plays a crucial role in regulating consciousness. However, the specific functions of its excitatory and inhibitory networks during anesthesia remain uncertain. Here we explored the hypothesis that somatostatin interneurons in the medial prefrontal cortex enhance the effects of sevoflurane anesthesia by increasing GABA transmission to pyramidal neurons.
