Corneal alkali burns persist as a significant challenge in our field, often leading to a prolonged treatment course with various sight-threatening problems. This work, of utmost importance, aimed to apply the photo-tissue bonding technique (PTB) to weld the amniotic membrane (AM) to the corneal surface versus an amniotic membrane graft (AMG) and explore its safety in saving corneal protein against alkali burn.Methods Twenty-seven rabbits with an induced corneal ulcer using 1 mol/L NaOH solution.

We describe an oculofacial injury phenotype manifesting as a cleavage plane following the orbitomalar ligament in 5 cases. Across these cases, curvilinear wounds followed the course of the orbitomalar ligament, running clean planes through orbicularis oculi down to the infraorbital rim and arcus marginalis. One case involved bilateral orbitomalar ligaments, and 1 case involved the inferior canaliculus.

This case describes a previously unreported complication of maxillary canine root canal therapy in a cat. A 5-year-old Russian Blue cat was presented with a complicated crown fracture (pulp exposure) of its left maxillary canine tooth (204). To salvage the tooth, root canal therapy was initiated but not completed due to hemorrhage within the canal.

Aim: To investigate the features of retinal ischemic injuries in a novel mouse model with bilateral carotid artery stenosis (BCAS).
Methods: BCAS was induced with microcoil implantation in 6-8-week-old C57BL6 mice. Cerebral blood flow was monitored at 2, 7, and 28d postoperatively.
Concussion is a common injury in rugby union ('rugby') and yet its diagnosis is reliant on clinical judgment. Oculomotor testing could provide an objective measure to assist with concussion diagnosis. NeuroFlex® evaluates oculomotor function using a virtual-reality headset.
