Castor ( L.) is an important industrial multipurpose non-edible oilseed C crop belongs to spurge family popularly known as Euphorbiaceae. Its oil has exceptional properties which provides an industrial importance to this crop. The present investigation is aimed to judge the stability and performance of yield and yield assigning traits and selection of suitable genotype for varied locality of western rainfed regions of India. During the study with 90 genotypes, the genotype × environment interaction was found to be significant for seed yield per plant as well as for plant height up to primary raceme, total length of primary raceme, effective length of primary raceme, capsules on main raceme and effective number of racemes per plant. E is the least interactive and highly representative site for seed yield. Which won where and what biplot decipher ANDCI 10-01 as vertex genotype for E while ANDCI 10-03 and P141 for E and E. Average Environment co-ordinate identify ANDCI 10-01, P141, P161, JI 357 and JI 418 as tremendously stable and high seed yielding genotypes. The study outlined the pertinency of Multi Trait Stability Index, that calculated based on the genotype-ideotype distance as the multiple interacting variables. MTSI evaluated all genotypes and sort ANDCI 12-01, JI 413, JI 434, JI 380, P141, ANDCI 10-03, SKI 215, ANDCI 09, SI 04, JI 437, JI 440, RG 3570, JI 417 and GAC 11 with maximum stability and high mean performance of analyzed interacting traits.

Universidade Federal do Vale do Jequitinhonha e Mucuri - UFVJM, Departamento de Agronomia, Diamantina, MG, Brasil.

Research aimed at investigating the ideal plant arrangement system of common beans under intercropping with castor hybrids is necessary, as intercropping is a common practice in Brazil, and this practice affects the morphophysiological behavior of both crops. The objective of this study was to evaluate the consociation systems of common bean plants with small-sized castor hybrid, in three agricultural years, in the edaphoclimatic conditions of the Cerrado of Goiás, Brazil. In the three experiments, the randomized block design with four repetitions was used, involving the combination of five simultaneous sowing systems: beans sown on the castor row, on the inter-row, on the row + inter-row and beans and castor in monocropping.

The medicinal plant of the genus Stephania holds significant economic importance in the pharmaceutical industry. However, accurately classifying and subdividing this genus remains a challenge. Herein, the chloroplast (cp) genomes of Stephania and Cyclea were sequenced, and the primary characteristics, repeat sequences, inverted repeats regions, simple sequence repeats, and codon usage bias of 17 species were comparatively analyzed.

was confirmed as polyphyletic by recent phylogenetic analyses, with Chinese species of distantly related to those from Japan. Among the Chinese species of , is a morphologically unique as well as taxonomically problematic species endemic to South China, of which the generic designation is still uncertain. Molecular analyses based on both plastid and nuclear genomic data demonstrated that this species is closest to the recently published genus .

A vast variety of inflorescence architectures have evolved in angiosperms. Here, we analyze the diversity and development of the woodland strawberry (Fragaria vesca) inflorescence. Contrary to historical classifications, we show that it is a closed thyrse: a compound inflorescence with determinate primary monopodial axis and lateral sympodial branches, thus combining features of racemes and cymes.
