Introduction: Sharing patient health information and biospecimens can improve health outcomes and accelerate breakthroughs in medical research. But patients generally lack understanding of how their clinical data and biospecimens are used or commercialized for research. In this mixed methods project, we assessed the impact of communication materials on patient understanding, attitudes, and perceptions.

As the investigation of high efficiency thermally activated delayed fluorescence (TADF) materials become more mature, regulating the emission properties for single organic luminescence molecules has gained increasing interest recently. Herein, the donor-acceptor compounds F-AQ comprised of fluorene and anthraquinone is reported, and it exhibits a polymorphism with muti-color emission and TADF from high-level intersystem crossing (hRISC). The photodynamics and excited-state transient species were studied by femtosecond transient absorption (fs-TA) spectroscopy.

Importance: Chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE) is a neurodegenerative tauopathy associated with repetitive head impacts (RHIs). Prior research suggests a dose-response association between American football play duration and CTE risk and severity, but this association has not been studied for ice hockey.
Objective: To investigate associations of duration of ice hockey play with CTE diagnosis and severity, functional status, and dementia.

Biodiversity genomics critically depends on correct taxonomic identification of the sample from which data are derived. Tracking of that taxonomic information through systems that archive data and report on genome sequencing efforts. For submission of data to the International Nucleotide Sequence Database Collaboration (INSDC) databases (DNA DataBank of Japan [DDBJ], European Nucleotide Archive [ENA] and National Center for Biotechnology Information [NCBI]), samples and data derived from them must be assigned a species-level NCBI Taxonomy taxonomic identifier (TaxId, sometimes referred to as taxId or txid).

Background: Most questionnaires provide little information about children's or parents' views on functioning and do not attempt to understand their priorities or expectations. The Gait Outcomes Assessment List (GOAL) questionnaire was developed to fill this gap by identifying the most important goals of the patient and family for a gait intervention.
Research Question: To investigate the test-retest reliability and concurrent and discriminant validity of the GOAL questionnaire in children with cerebral palsy (CP) in Türkiye.
