Nursing students are confronted with the mysteries of the patient encounter during their internship in psychiatry. From this discovery, questions and enigmas remain to be solved. This ephemeral primary relationship, in a time span of a few weeks, is a source of frustration for them. In this context, the presence and professionalism of the team are precious assets that the student must seize. Discovery of the profession of psychiatric nurse illustrated by the testimonies of two students.

Background: The rollout of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) has transformed the Australian funding landscape for individuals with disability and their families. This study examined whether the profiles of autistic children and their families accessing an early intervention (EI) setting have changed following its introduction.
Methods: The cognition and behavioural profiles of children funded under the NDIS ( = 58) were compared to children who had received block government funding (= 58).

Background: It is highly recommended that professionals promote caregivers' capacity-building to use intervention strategies to support children with developmental delays or disabilities in natural learning environments, particularly in the earliest years of life.
