Neglected traumatic cervical dislocation can be difficult to treat as such and more so if they are accompanied by an associated post traumatic syringomyelia (PTS). We present the case of a 55 year old gentleman who had a traumatic C6-C7 grade 2 listhesis which was neglected and presented 6 year later with 6 months history of neck pain, spastic quadriparesis and bowel bladder involvement. The patient was diagnosed with a PTS extending from C4 to D5. The possible aetiology and management of such cases has been discussed. The patient was successfully treated with decompression, adhesiolysis of arachnoid bands and syringotomy without the correction of deformity. The patient improved neurologically and had complete resolution of syrinx at final followup.

Objective: The presence of microorganisms in a wound may lead to the development of pathologically extensive inflammation, and either delay or prevent the healing of hard-to-heal (chronic) wounds. The aim of this case series is to explore the use of topical gentamicin ointment, an aminoglycoside with activity against aerobic Gram-negative bacteria, as an option to address hard-to-heal wounds.
Method: We present a retrospective case series of patients with hard-to-heal wounds of varying pathophysiologies treated with topical gentamicin.

Obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA) is a sleep-related breathing condition that involves the presence of episodic disruptions to the sleeping pattern due to partial or complete airway obstruction. There are a range of treatment options that exist to alleviate the symptoms of this condition including CPAP, mandibular advancement, and maxillary expansion techniques. This systematic review and meta-analysis of published articles aims to determine if rapid maxillary expansion ("RME") is an effective treatment option in the management of OSA, using quantitative parameters of AHI and SpO.

Today, huge amounts of time series data are sensed continuously by AIoT devices, transmitted to edge nodes, and to data centers. It costs a lot of energy to transmit these data, store them, and process them. Data compression technologies are commonly used to reduce the data size and thus save energy.

Skull base tumors such as meningiomas and schwannomas are often pathologically benign. However, surgery for these tumors poses significant challenges because of their proximity to critical structures such as the brainstem, cerebral arteries, veins, and cranial nerves. These structures are compressed or encased by the tumor as they grow, increasing the risk of unintended injury to these structures, which can potentially lead to severe neurological deficits.
