The cyanobacteriosponge occurs on tropical reefs throughout the Indo-Pacific. The species encrusts live coral, and other benthos, and is considered a pest species that can threaten the health and productivity of locally native benthic communities on coral reefs. Here we assemble a complete mitochondrial genome to aid further research into the range expansion of this species. The circular genome was 20,504 bp in length and encoded 14 protein-coding genes, two ribosomal RNA (rRNA) genes, and 25 transfer RNA (tRNA) genes. A phylogenetic analysis based on the concatenated sequences of 14 protein-coding genes of 12 members of the subclass Heteroscleromorpha including the newly sequenced , suggests further taxonomic revisions within the order Suberitida may be warranted.

Purpose: This study aims to investigate whether zinc ion (Zn) alleviates myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury (MIRI) through the MAM-associated signaling pathway and to explore its impact on ERS and calcium overload.
Methods: H9C2 cells were cultured in a DMEM supplemented with 10 % fetal bovine serum and 1 % antibiotic solution. A MIRI model was established through simulated ischemia and reoxygenation with Zn treatment in a complete medium.

The complete tricarboxylic acid (TCA) cycle, comprising a series of 8 oxidative reactions, occurs in most eukaryotes in the mitochondria and in many prokaryotes. The net outcome of these 8 chemical reactions is the release of the reduced electron carriers NADH and FADH, water, and carbon dioxide. The parasites of the .

To further investigate how FTY720 rescues the pathology, we performed metabolomic analysis in brain, plasma, and liver of trained APP/PS1 and wild-type mice. APP/PS1 mice showed area-specific brain disturbances in polyamines, phospholipids, and sphingolipids.

Background: Mitochondrial genes are involved in tumor metabolism in ovarian cancer (OC) and affect immune cell infiltration and treatment responses.
Aim: To predict prognosis and immunotherapy response in patients diagnosed with OC using mitochondrial genes and neural networks.
Methods: Prognosis, immunotherapy efficacy, and next-generation sequencing data of patients with OC were downloaded from The Cancer Genome Atlas and Gene Expression Omnibus.
