Polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) is a common heterogeneous endocrine disease associated with a twofold higher risk of stroke and venous thromboembolism (VTE). An 18-year-old female presented to the emergency department (ED) with a one-hour history of right-side body weakness, facial asymmetry, and altered mental status. The patient had poor mentation and was unable to protect her airway. She was intubated and admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU). She was diagnosed with polycystic ovarian syndrome three years ago; however, she was not on active treatment at the time of presentation. She received two doses of the BNT162b2 mRNA COVID-19 vaccine, and her last dose was six months before the current presentation. A workup showed that she had extensive arterial and venous thrombosis. Later during investigations, she was found to have a complex atrial septal defect (ASD) with a left-to-right shunt. This case reports a management approach for a young female with untreated polycystic ovarian syndrome that predisposed her to develop deep vein thrombosis (DVT), pulmonary embolism (PE), and ischemic stroke due to atrial septal defect with possible transient shunt reversal.

Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a common disorder that affects the female reproductive system, with an incidence of 8 % to 15 %. It is characterized by irregular menstruation, hyperandrogenemia, and polycystic abnormalities in the ovaries. Nevertheless, there is still much to learn about the molecular pathways underlying PCOS.

Background: Observational studies have reported that arm fat, left leg fat, and trunk fat masses have different effects on polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS). However, the causal relationship between them remains unknown.
Materials And Methods: A two-sample Mendelian randomization (MR) study was conducted by utilizing pooled data from the largest Genome-Wide Association Study (GWAS).

Introduction: A variety of hypoglycaemic drugs are used to treat polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), but their efficacy remains insufficient. Glucokinase activators (GKAs) are a unique class of hypoglycaemic medications with emerging potential, notably in significantly reducing insulin resistance (IR). Nevertheless, the efficacy of GKAs in treating PCOS, particularly in the absence or presence of IR, remains uncertain.

Background: Granulosa cell proliferation and survival are essential for normal ovarian function and follicular development. Long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) have emerged as important regulators of cell proliferation and differentiation. Nuclear paraspeckle assembly transcript 1 (NEAT1) has been implicated in various cellular processes, but its role in granulosa cell function remains unclear.

Purpose: Women with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) show greater heterogeneity in ovarian responses during ovarian stimulation. We aimed to investigate the potential predicting factors among individualized basic parameters that affect poor or hyper ovarian responses in PCOS patients.
Methods: We retrospectively screened 2058 women with PCOS who underwent their first cycle of in vitro fertilization/intracytoplasmic sperm injection.
