To meet the requirement of lighter weight and better performance in tube hydroforming, one of the most important tasks is to accurately predict the forming limit of thin-walled tubes under nonlinear loading paths. This work established the M-K+DF2012 model, a combination of the M-K model and the DF2012 ductile fracture criterion, for the forming limit prediction of thin-walled tubes under nonlinear loading paths. In this model, the failure of the groove is determined by the DF2012 criterion, and the corresponding strains in the uniform region are the limit strains. The limit strains of an AA6061 aluminum alloy tube under a set of linear loading paths and two typical nonlinear loading paths were tested. Parameter values of the M-K+DF2012 model for the tube were determined based on the experimental limit strains under linear loading paths, and the limit strains under the two nonlinear loading paths were predicted. Then the strain-based forming limit diagram (-FLD) and the polar effective plastic strain FLD (PEPS-FLD) of the tube under different pre-strains were predicted and discussed. The results show that the limit strains of the tube are obviously path-dependent, and the M-K+DF2012 model can reasonably capture the limit strains of the tube under both linear and nonlinear loading paths. The predicted -FLD shows a strong dependence on the pre-strain, while the predicted PEPS-FLD is weakly strain path-dependent and almost path-independent on the right-hand side for the AA6061 tube.

Mechanoluminescent (ML) materials emit light by trapping and releasing charge carriers under mechanical stress. However, previous studies do not fully reveal the relationship between emitting light intensity and mechanical stress, thereby affecting the accuracy of stress measurement. This study addresses this gap by systematically investigating ML cylinders with various sizes and loading paths using theoretical analysis and simulations, focusing on the maximum contact stress, equivalent stress distribution, and the relationship between the strain energy density and light intensity at the point of maximum contact stress.

The mechanical properties of jointed rock bodies are important in guiding engineering design and construction. Using the particle flow software PFC2D, we conducted direct shear test simulations on joints with various inclinations and five different roughness levels to examine the models' crack extension penetration paths, damage modes, and strength characteristics. The findings indicate that the direction of the joint influences the pattern of the rock crack and its penetration route.

Like other members of the myosin family, its biochemical kinetics are altered in response to changes in mechanical loads that resist the power stroke. However, myo1c is unique in that the primary force-sensitive kinetic transition is the isomerization that follows ATP binding, not ADP release as in other slow myosins.

Bridge expansion joints are critical components that accommodate the movement of a bridge caused by temperature fluctuations, concrete shrinkage, and vehicular loads. Analyzing the spatiotemporal deformation of these expansion joints is essential for monitoring bridge safety. This study investigates the deformation characteristics of Hongtang Bridge in Fuzhou, China, using synthetic aperture radar interferometry (InSAR).

The optimization of auto parts supply chain logistics plays a decisive role in the development of the automotive industry. To reduce logistics costs and improve transportation efficiency, this paper addresses the joint optimization problem of multi-vehicle pickup and delivery transportation paths under time window constraints, coupled with the three-dimensional loading of goods. The model considers mixed time windows, three-dimensional loading constraints, cyclic pickup and delivery paths, varying vehicle loads and volumes, flow balance, and time window constraints.
