Crystal coating is an important process in laser crystal applications. According to the crystal characteristics of neodymium-doped yttrium vanadate (Nd:YVO), its intrinsic parameters, and optical film design theory, TaO and SiO were selected separately as high and low refractive index materials. The optical properties and surface roughness of the films were characterized by OptiLayer and Zygo interferometers, and the effects of ion source bias on refractive index and surface roughness were investigated so that the optimal ion source parameters were determined. Optical monitoring and quartz crystal control were combined to accurately control the thickness of each film layer and to reduce the monitoring error of film thickness. The prepared crystal device was successfully applied to the 1176 nm laser output system.

Purpose: We report a single case of ocular decompression retinopathy (ODR) following neodymium-doped yttrium aluminum garnet laser peripheral iridotomy (Nd:YAG LPI) for primary acute angle-closure glaucoma associated with delayed visual recovery secondary to optic nerve head edema and macular thickening.
Observations: A 56-year-old female patient presented to the emergency department with primary acute angle-closure glaucoma. After topical and IV therapy did not improve intraocular pressure (IOP), an Nd:YAG LPI was performed.

Infrared (IR) action spectroscopy is utilized to characterize carbon-centered hydroperoxy-cyclohexyl radicals (·QOOH) transiently formed in cyclohexane oxidation. The oxidation pathway leads to three nearly degenerate ·QOOH isomers, β-, γ-, and δ-QOOH, which are generated in the laboratory by H-atom abstraction from the corresponding ring sites of the cyclohexyl hydroperoxide (CHHP) precursor. The IR spectral features of jet-cooled and stabilized ·QOOH radicals are observed from 3590 to 7010 cm-1 (∼10-20 kcal mol-1) at energies in the vicinity of the transition state (TS) barrier leading to OH radicals that are detected by ultraviolet laser-induced fluorescence.
