is the causal agent of brown rot in stone fruit. The three main species that cause this disease are , , and , and their infection capacity is influenced by environmental factors (i.e., light, temperature, and humidity). To tolerate stressful environmental conditions, fungi can produce secondary metabolites. Particularly, melanin-like pigments can contribute to survival in unfavorable conditions. In many fungi, this pigment is due to the accumulation of 1,8-dihydroxynaphthalene melanin (DHN). In this study, we have identified for the first time the genes involved in the DHN pathway in the three main spp. and we have proved their capacity to synthetize melanin-like pigments, both in synthetic medium and in nectarines at three stages of brown rot development. The expression of all the biosynthetic and regulatory genes of the DHN-melanin pathway has also been determined under both in vitro and in vivo conditions. Finally, we have analyzed the role of three genes involved in fungi survival and detoxification, and we have proved that there exists a close relationship between the synthesis of these pigments and the activation of the gene. Overall, these results deeply describe the importance of DHN-melanin in the three main species of : , and .

Background: Breastfeeding is vital for the health and well-being of both mothers and infants, and it is crucial to create supportive environments that promote and maintain breastfeeding practices.
Objective: The objective of this paper was to describe the development of a breastfeeding-friendly app called "bfGPS" (HKU TALIC), which provides comprehensive territory-wide information on breastfeeding facilities in Hong Kong, with the goal of fostering a breastfeeding-friendly community.
Methods: The development of bfGPS can be categorized into three phases, which are (1) planning, prototype development, and preimplementation evaluation; (2) implementation and updates; and (3) usability evaluation.

Bovine papillomaviruses (BPVs) commonly cause sarcoids in equines worldwide. Equine sarcoids (ESs) reduce the working ability of draft animals and produce untoward cosmetic changes in racing and dancing equine. In this study, nine horses and 16 donkeys with sarcoids were presented to Zagazig University Veterinary Clinic, Zagazig, Egypt.

The volatile profile of bee pollen samples from Central and Eastern Europe was investigated by headspace solid phase microextraction (HS-SPME) combined with gas chromatography-mass spectrometry-olfactometry (GC-MS-O). Sampling conditions were optimized for the extraction of volatiles. Pollen odorants were extracted with six different fiber coatings, five various extraction times, three diverse extraction temperatures and three differing desorption times.

High temperatures can impede the growth and development of soybean plants, resulting in decreased yield and seed quality. Heat-induced damage can be mitigated by adjusting sowing date and selecting genotypes that are suitable for cultivation in hot climates. A 2-year (2017-2018) field experiment was conducted at Safiabad Agricultural and Natural Resources Research and Education Center, employing a split-plot design with three replications.

Herein, we review the literature on Parkinson's disease (PD) management and summarize the progress in medical, surgical, and assisted therapeutic modalities for motor and non-motor symptoms. A thorough search strategy was implemented to retrieve all relevant articles and identify the best evidence from different databases including Scopus, PubMed, Google Scholar, the Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews, and Evidence-Based Medicine reviews from the International Parkinson and Movement Disorder Society. Multiple terms, such as Parkinson, tremor, predominant, Parkinson management, deep brain stimulation, LCIG, ablative surgery for PD, medical management of PD, and assistive devices for PD, were used for screening.
