In this paper, we synthesized selenium nanoparticles (SeNPs) that could be effectively excited by pure yellow light (YL) source to enhance antibacterial ability. Meanwhile, YL could also play the role of anti-inflammatory and promote wound healing. In addition, in order to overcome the problem of low penetration depth of photodynamic therapy (PDT), SeNPs were encapsulated with polyethylenimine (PEI), then modified with the sound sensitive agent indocyanine green (ICG), realizing the combined photoacoustic therapy to promote the healing of wounds infected by drug-resistant bacteria. The antibacterial efficiency of methicillin-resistant (MRSA) and () reached more than 99% in and experiments within 10 min, which could safely and quickly kill drug-resistant bacteria to repair and heal wounds.

The isolated Aspergillus flavus NSRN22 was used for green synthesis of silver and selenium nanoparticles (AgNPs and SeNPs). New food packaging films produced by combining each type of NPs with chitosan (CS) or sodium alginate (SA) were characterized. Transmission electron microscopy revealed that the average particle size was lower in case of AgNPs (9 to 14.

Selenium is an essential trace element that is involved in a variety of complex biological processes and has a significant positive effect on the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular disease, inflammatory diseases, and cancer. Selenium in the body is mainly provided by daily meals. However, selenium has two sides, beneficial in moderation and harmful in excess.

Background: Recently, silver nanoparticles (Ag-NPs) were shown to provoke oxidative stress through the release of reactive oxygen species and consequently induce cell damage. Selenium-loaded chitosan nanoparticles (CS-SeNPs) have anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects, indicating that they ameliorate Ag-NPs-induced ovarian toxicity.

Objective: This study aimed to assess how well CS-SeNPs counteract the damaging effects of Ag-NPs on the ovarian tissue of adult female albino rats.
