Over the past 20 years, the concept of pancreatic surgery has been updated and surgical skills has improved dramatically. With the significant improvement of surgical safety and increase of resection rate for pancreatic cancer, some traditional surgical issues such as surgical indications, timing and extent of resection are being re-evaluated. The improvement of patients' prognosis is the gold standard for judging the surgical indications.

The saphenous vein is the most used conduit for coronary artery bypass surgery. However, the patency rate of this graft is inferior to the internal thoracic artery patency rate, which is the gold standard. Using the conventional technique, the saphenous vein is harvested via a large open incision and excised in such a way that causes both vascular damage and wound healing complications.

Introduction: Treatment for long-gap esophageal atresia (LGEA) aims at achieving primary anastomosis with minimal tension. Previous studies have shown that intramural injections with botulinum toxin type-A (BTX-A) from the adventitial side can increase the elongation of the piglet and rat esophagus before bursting, and that this effect is dose and time dependent. Our aim was to determine if endoscopic injections would be feasible, safe, and with an effect on the mechanical properties of the esophagus.

Background: Plexiform schwannoma is one of the least common variants of schwannoma, accounting for only 5% of all schwannoma cases. It generally occurs in the skin and subcutaneous tissues and is uncommon in deep soft tissue or viscera. We present an extremely rare case of plexiform schwannoma arising from the peripancreatic plexus.
