Light-based therapies have been proven to influence and perhaps reverse skin ageing at clinical, molecular and histologic levels. Laser technology decreases photodamage by promoting collagen type I and III synthesis and enhancing the expression of heat shock protein. : This study aims to assess different doses of 675 nm irradiation on human dermal fibroblast cells to evaluate the potential therapeutic effects on the rejuvenation process. This study employed a laser system that emits 675 nm wavelength: 260, 390, 520 and 650 J/cm doses were tested on adult human dermal fibroblast cells. Cellular viability, proliferation, and synthesis of type I and III collagen were studied. No dose tested showed effects on cell viability and proliferation at 24 and 48 h from the irradiation. Doses of 260 and 520 J/cm causes a significant decrease in type I collagen fluorescence intensity, while 390 J/cm elicits a significant increase in type III collagen expression. Our results showed that 675 nm laser irradiation does not affect cell viability while modulating cell proliferation and collagen synthesis in human adult cultured fibroblasts in vitro. These findings suggest that 675 nm laser irradiation potentially plays a role in skin rejuvenation.

Planting native flora is a popular conservation strategy for pollinators. When searching for native plants, consumers may encounter cultivars of native plants, which can have different phenotypic traits than plants found in wild populations ("wild-type native plants"). Previous research evaluating pollinator visitation to wild-type native plants and native cultivars has yielded mixed results, in terms of whether their visitation rates are similar or distinct.

Background: Nonpharmaceutical interventions for coronavirus disease (COVID-19), caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2, during the pandemic altered the epidemiology of respiratory viruses. This study aimed to determine the changes in respiratory viruses among children hospitalized from 2018 to 2023.
Methods: Nasopharyngeal specimens were collected from children aged under 15 years with fever and/or respiratory symptoms admitted to a medical institution in Fukushima Prefecture between January 2018 and December 2023.
Background: Regenerating protein I alpha (REG Iα) plays a key role in the progression of gastric cancer (GC). However, the clinical application value of serum REG Iα in GC remains largely unknown.
Methods: Serum REG Iα levels were analyzed through time-resolved fluoroimmunoassay (TRFIA) in healthy controls (HCs) and patients with benign gastric disease (BGD) and GC.

Background: There are no approved oral disease-modifying treatments for Alzheimer's disease (AD).
Objectives: The objective of this study was to assess efficacy and safety of blarcamesine (ANAVEX®2-73), an orally available small-molecule activator of the sigma-1 receptor (SIGMAR1) in early AD through restoration of cellular homeostasis including autophagy enhancement.
Design: ANAVEX2-73-AD-004 was a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, 48-week Phase IIb/III trial.
Objectives: To examine tooth root length and root volume in cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) images in patients with skeletal Class II and III anomalies who have undergone single-jaw (SJ) and double-jaw (DJ) orthognathic surgery, and to compare the changes between jaws with and without osteotomy.
Materials And Methods: This study was conducted on the archive records of a total of 60 adults: 36 women and 24 men with an average age of 21.1 ± 3.
