Background: , the needling sensation, is important in acupuncture treatment. Almost all studies believe that deep needling and manipulation could achieve a significant sensation. However, relatively few studies have examined the effect of psychological factors on , and those that did often reached different conclusions.
Objectives: To explore the influence of psychologic factors on in patients with primary dysmenorrhea (PD).
Methods: Sixty-eight PD patients with cold and dampness stagnation were randomly allocated to (deep insertion using thick needles, with manipulation, n=17) and non- groups (shallow insertion using thin needles, without manipulation, n=51). Both groups received bilateral needling at (SP6) for 30 min. was assessed using the Acupuncture Clinical Assessment Scale (ADCAS). The patients' acupuncture-related anxiety and their expectations of the relationship between needle sensation and curative effect were evaluated using a five-point and four-point scale, respectively.
Results: Within the group, all patients experienced the sensation, although anxiety levels were unrelated to . Patients' expectations correlated negatively with timing, and positively with electric sensation. Within the non- group, 59.5% of patients experienced . Between those who experienced it and those who did not, no significant differences were found in anxiety levels, although patients' expectations differed significantly. Among patients who experienced sensations in the non- group, anxiety and throbbing were positively correlated. Additionally, patients' expectations correlated positively with intensity, as well as coldness, and numbness.
Conclusion: Psychological factors should be considered when studying since PD patients' expectations could influence the sensation at SP6.

Background: The complexity of acute myeloid leukemia (AML) is increasingly recognized through the identification of distinct subgroups, including those with an APL-like immunophenotype characterized by the absence of CD34 and HLA-DR expression, which is widely recognized as a representative immunophenotype in acute promyelocytic leukemia (APL). This study sought to understand the clinical, molecular, and prognostic differences between AML patients with and without this phenotype.
Methods: This study retrospectively analysed 191 de novo non-M3 AML patients and identified 32 patients with the CD34HLA-DR phenotype resembling APL-like immunophenotype, considered as the experimental group.

Objective: The care of patients with dysphonia will change due to the growing shortage of specialists, demographic change, and digitalization. To counteract the associated problems in patient care, the LAOLA app demonstrator is to be developed. In the future, patients will receive exercise videos for their training from their treating speech and language pathologist (SLP) via LAOLA.

Activated CDC42-associated kinase 1 (ACK1), encoded by the TNK2 gene, is a cytoplasmic non-receptor tyrosine kinase whose aberrant activation correlates positively with cancer severity. Recent research has revealed the functional relevance of this oncokinase - it is an epigenetic regulator that drives cancer progression in multiple malignancies. Although ACK1 is an attractive target for therapeutic intervention, incomplete knowledge of its diverse signaling mechanisms and the lack of specific inhibitors have challenged its clinical success.

Oral anticancer drugs are standard treatments for many cancers and are expected to remain widely used. Owing to the super-aged nature of the Japanese society, the number of elderly patients with cancer is rapidly increasing. Poor adherence to oral medications owing to physical limitations and swallowing difficulties in elderly patients with cancer is a major problem affecting treatment.

This study aimed to evaluate the cost-effectiveness of mechanical thrombectomy (MT) in patients aged 90 years and older with acute ischaemic stroke (AIS). We developed a cost-effectiveness model to compare MT with standard medical care (SMC) to SMC alone. The model, incorporating parameters for the effectiveness and costs of MT with SMC and SMC alone, was simulated until the cohort reached 100 years of age.
