Middle cerebral artery (MCA) aneurysms remain excellent candidates for microsurgical treatment, despite proliferation of new endovascular tools. Nonetheless, patients desire less invasive options for permanent, durable treatment of their aneurysms; this is particularly the case for those presenting without subarachnoid hemorrhage, and those with multiple aneurysms that may require several surgical approaches. Keyhole craniotomies, when properly utilized in well-selected patients, allow for minimally invasive treatment of both ruptured and unruptured cerebral aneurysms, including those harboring bilateral aneurysms which may be treated from a single approach.

In order to overcome the bioavailability limitation of polysaccharide (LPS) caused by its high molecular weight and complex structure, two low-molecular-weight degraded polysaccharides, namely G-LPS(8) and G-LPS(16), were prepared through enzymatic degradation. The molecular weight of LPS was significantly reduced by enzymolysis, leading to increased exposure of internal functional groups and altering the molar ratio of its constituent monosaccharides. The results of antioxidant experiments showed that enzymatic hydrolysis had the potential to enhance the antioxidant performance of LPS.

Larvae achieve this metabolic state, in part, by coordinately up-regulating the expression of genes involved in carbohydrate metabolism. The resulting metabolic program exhibits hallmark characteristics of aerobic glycolysis and establishes a physiological state that supports growth.

Context: Guidelines for various movement assessments often instruct clinicians to conduct testing without a warm-up. Warm-ups are commonly performed to increase heart rate, decrease stiffness, and prepare for sport-specific demands. Since athletes typically complete a warm-up prior to sport participation, evaluating biomechanics in this condition may provide a better indication of their bodies' physical capabilities.

Purpose: A properly designed rubric for oral presentations should be useful both to assess students' performance and to help them prepare for the task. However, its use and perceptions might be influenced by scholars' previous familiarization with rubrics during pre-university courses. The aim of this study was to evaluate how the previous experience of students in the use of rubrics can influence their assessment of oral presentations and to compare their ratings with those assigned by educators.
