Numerous attempts have been made in the periodical publications on the history of «Moscow State University of Medicine and Dentistry named after A.I. Evdokimov» to trace its roots back to the First Moscow Dentistry School. founded by I.M. Kovarsky in 1892, as the State Institute of Dentistry (which, as a result of various reorganizations had been renamed as MSMSU) was established in the school building. This reasoning does not seem entirely convincing, however, after analyzing some facts from the history of the First Moscow School of Dentistry and biography of its founder I.M. Kovarsky, the authors conclude that there is a historical connection between these educational institutions.

This article explores an extraordinary 'doublet of black stamped mockado, nasty' owned by an everyday artisan, the Florentine waterseller Francesco Ristori, who died in 1631. Our only record of this garment - like many non-elite objects - is a written description in a posthumous inventory, but this article shows how we can reconstruct this doublet through a combination of archival, visual, material sources and hands-on experimental methods. Offering a thorough account of the processes and methodological basis of the material reconstruction, it explains why Ristori's doublet exemplifies many key features of early modern everyday fashion, the historical importance of the doublet as a garment, the innovation of mixed fibre fabrics like mockado, the novelty of stamping techniques, the challenges and importance of black dye, and what the 'nasty' condition suggests about Ristori's use of the doublet.

Even though the effect of oil price shocks on macroeconomics has been extensively investigated, the literature on how efficiency in household energy use affect crude oil price volatility is yet explored. This study unveils whether household energy efficiency lower crude oil price volatility asymmetrically in the United States using the historical and forecast dataset that spans from 1970:Q1-2040:Q1. Applying the multivariate case of Quantile-on-Quantile Regression, the empirical results show that household energy efficiency dampens crude oil price volatility with a stronger connection in quantiles before the median quantiles of crude oil price volatility.
