Granulomatosis with polyangiitis (GPA) is a rare necrotizing antineutrophil cytoplasmic antibody-associated vasculitis characterized by inflammation in small-sized arteries. Gastrointestinal involvement is exceedingly rare in GPA. Here, we present a case of recurrent acute pancreatitis as the initial presentation of GPA. The diagnosis was made based on radiological and pathological findings of acute pancreatitis in conjunction with positive anti-PR3 antibody which is strongly associated with GPA. Systemic vasculitides are rare but important to consider in cases of idiopathic acute pancreatitis. Early diagnosis and therapy allow for high rates of remission and improved survival rates.

Purpose: To determine if endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) should be performed with surgery or as a different step, on acute cholecystitis, and which strategy has the least complications and morbimortality.
Methods: Various databases (PubMed, Embase, Scopus, Web of Science, Science Direct, Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials, CINAHL, Latin American and Caribbean Health Sciences Literature, clinical trials, Google Scholar) were searched for randomized trials comparing the different timings for ERCP and cholecystectomy. No language or time restrictions were applied.

Objective: This study aims to examine whether the presence of mutation exists in the vitamin D-connector protein gene rs7041 variant of the pancreatitis table for patients diagnosed with coronavirus disease 2019.
Methods: A total of 113 patients with normal pancreatic enzyme levels diagnosed with coronavirus disease 2019 and 120 patients with both coronavirus disease 2019 diagnosis and high pancreatic enzyme levels were included in the study. The rs7041 genotyping of the 11th single nucleotide variation in the vitamin D-connector protein gene was determined by polymerase chain reaction and restriction fragment length polymorphism methods.

Objectives: Chronic pancreatitis is a debilitating and progressive inflammatory disease with an altered quality of life due to severe abdominal pain. Pancreaticoduodenectomy is a surgical option for patients with bulky disease involving the head of the pancreas, especially when this disease has progressed to stricture of the bile duct, duodenum, or both. A long term issue associated with this procedure is stricture of the pancreatic anastomosis.
