Objective: The pulpal response to Hoffmann's Pulpine mineral (PMIN) and Pulpine NE (PNE) was compared to mineral trioxide aggregate (MTA) when used as pulpotomy materials in immature permanent teeth in dogs.

Materials And Methods: Immature premolars were randomly divided according to the observation period into three equal groups (n = 24) (10 days, 30 days, and 90 days) then furtherly subdivided into 3 subgroups according to the material used. Histopathological analysis regarding inflammatory cell infiltration and dentin bridge (DB) formation was done. Immunohistochemical analysis was performed using osteopontin marker.

Results: The results showed that after 90 days, both MTA and PMIN subgroups had 100% complete thick DB without inflammation in 87.5% of the samples, while the PNE subgroup failed to form DB in 37.5% of the samples and 50% of samples showed thin initial DB with heavy inflammation in 62.5% of the samples. There was no significant difference between MTA and PMIN, while there was a statistically significant difference between PNE and the two other subgroups in DB formation and inflammatory cell infiltration (P > 0.05). After 90 days, MTA showed the highest mean value of osteopontin positive fraction area followed by PMIN without statistically significant differences, while the least value was recorded in PNE subgroup with statistically significant difference with the remaining subgroups (P < 0.05).

Conclusion: PMIN is a promising alternative to MTA when used for pulpotomy.

Clinical Relevance: Vital pulp therapy in immature teeth can be done using PMIN as an alternative to MTA.

Objectives: This study aims to compare the clinical performance of 3D printed endocrowns (ECs) and prefabricated zirconia crowns (PZRCs) in restoring pulpotomized primary molars, over 3, 6, and 12 months.

Methods: Thirty pulpotomized mandibular primary molars in 16 children aged 4-8 years were randomized with a 1:1 allocation ratio into two groups: group (A), PZRCs, and group (B), 3D-printed ECs. All restorations were evaluated for esthetic, functional, and biological properties using FDI criteria at 3-, 6-, and 12-month intervals.

Introduction: Vital pulp therapy (VPT) aims to preserve dental pulp after injury and has gained significant popularity due to advancements in materials and understanding of pulp biology. While bibliometric analyses are common in various fields, none have been conducted specifically for the 100 most-cited articles on VPT.

Materials And Methods: This bibliometric study analyzed the 100 most-cited VPT papers using data from Web of Science (WoS-CC), Scopus, and Google Scholar.

Pulpotomy, which belongs to vital pulp therapy, has become a strategy for managing pulpitis in recent decades. This minimally invasive treatment reflects the recognition of preserving healthy dental pulp and optimizing long-term patient-centered outcomes. Pulpotomy is categorized into partial pulpotomy (PP), the removal of a partial segment of the coronal pulp tissue, and full pulpotomy (FP), the removal of whole coronal pulp, which is followed by applying the biomaterials onto the remaining pulp tissue and ultimately restoring the tooth.

To assess the effectiveness of Biodentine (BD), mineral trioxide aggregate (MTA) and ferric sulfate (FS) as pulpotomy agents in primary molars and evaluate the impact of behavior guidance strategies on pulpotomy success. In this retrospective cross-sectional study, data from 374 cases (50.5 percent male, aged two to 10 years) undergoing 469 pulpotomies at a university pediatric clinic between April 1, 2016 and January 1, 2020 were analyzed.
