Objective: To investigate the application value of comprehensive nursing combined with comfort nursing for severe stroke patients with diabetes in the intensive care unit (ICU), as well as its effect on the incidence of pressure ulcers and aspiration.
Methods: Between March 2019 and March 2021, 123 severe stroke patients with diabetes who were treated at our hospital were randomly assigned to one of two groups: the control group ( = 61) or the study group ( = 62). The control group received normal care, but the research group received comprehensive nursing as well as comfort nursing. The two patient groups were compared in terms of the effects of the clinical application.
Results: The two groups did not differ significantly in general data ( > 0.05). The shorter ICU monitoring and extubation times, the lower incidence of pressure ulcers, aspiration, and nosocomial infections, and higher self-rating anxiety scale (SAS) and self-rating depression scale (SDS) scores and a lower MOS 36-item short-form health survey (SF-36) score were all observed in the research group when compared to the control group ( < 0.05).
Conclusion: For severe stroke patients with diabetes in the ICU, comprehensive nursing combined with comfort nursing has a promising effect, significantly, lowering the risk of pressure ulcers, aspiration, and nosocomial infections, accelerating physical recovery, enhancing mental state, and ensuring a better prognosis, deserving general clinical promotion.

Objective: To investigate the effect of traditional Chinese medicine nursing scheme on gastrointestinal function recovery in patients with uterine fibroids after high-intensity focused ultrasound treatment.
Methods: By convenient sampling method, 110 patients who received high-intensity focused ultrasound treatment for uterine fibroids from January 2023 to December 2023 in HIFU Treatment Center, a Grade-III obstetrics and gynecology hospital in Shanghai were selected as the study objects and were divided into a control group (n = 54) and experimental group (n = 56) by non-synchronous control study. The control group was treated with conventional nursing mode, and the experimental group was treated with traditional Chinese medicine nursing plan for gastrointestinal function recovery of patients with uterine fibroids after sea aid treatment.

(1) Background: Urinary tract infections (UTIs) are caused by the proliferation of pathogenic microorganisms, and they are the second most common hospital-acquired infections, with catheter-associated UTIs (CAUTIs) accounting for about 40% of these nosocomial infections. This review aims to identify the impact of technology on preventing infections in patients with urinary catheters; (2) Methods: The search was conducted in April 2024 through the EBSCOhost platform, with access to the American Search Complete, CINHAL Ultimate, Medline databases, and through the Scopus database; (3) Results: In total were included eight articles in this review. Technology interventions can significantly reduce the incidence of CAUTIs, decrease the duration of catheter use, improve diagnosis, and enhance patient safety; (4) Conclusions: Technological advancements show significant benefits in reducing infection rates and improving patient outcomes, like shorter hospital stays and comfort.
