The purpose of this study is to describe, in detail, the ultrastructure of the infundibulum of the sexually mature and active female green iguana, Iguana iguana. The infundibulum of five iguanas was remarkably distinct from the uterus, and was also clearly demarcated into cranial (expanded v-shaped) and caudal (tubular) divisions. Tissue samples obtained from five portions (three from the cranial division and two from the caudal division) of the infundibulum were processed conventionally for light and electron microscopy.

Objective: This study aimed to explore the risk factors for intrauterine device (IUD) embedment in postmenopausal women.
Methods: A total of 731 women who underwent hysteroscopy for IUD removal from January 2019 to December 2021 were included in the trial, of whom 301 were diagnosed with IUD embedment (embedded group) and 430 had a normal IUD location (control group). The following data were collected from electronic medical records: demographic traits, ultrasound findings, IUD shapes, uterine features, and hysteroscopy findings.

Unlabelled: A 34-year-old woman presented with an abscess of the abdominal wall, with a 10-day history of rupture and discharge. She had a history of cesarean section 17 years ago, intrauterine device (IUD) insertion 5 years ago, and intermittent lumbago and abdominal pain for the past 4 years. A V-shaped IUD was observed via ultrasound between the bladder and abdominal wall, clinging to the musculus rectus abdominis through the center of the cesarean scar.

Purpose: We performed a new ultrasonographic risk assessment of uterine scar dehiscence, which is a potential risk factor for uterine rupture, in pregnancy after cesarean section. We attempted to shed light on the natural course of the change in the lower uterine segment by means of a longitudinal investigation through quantitative and qualitative evaluations.
Methods: This retrospective single-center study involved 31 women with a normal singleton pregnancy delivered by elective cesarean section between 2020 and 2021, with all women showing a "niche" in the lower uterine segments.
