A novel electrochemical sensor was developed for selective and sensitive determination of xanthine (XT) and hypoxanthine (HX) based on polyglycine (p-Gly) and reduced graphene oxide (rGO) modified glassy carbon electrode (GCE). A mixed dispersion of 7 μL of 5 mM glycine and 1 mg/mL GO was dropped on GCE for the fabrication of p-Gly/rGO/GCE, followed by cyclic voltammetric sweeping in 0.1 M phosphate buffer solution within -0.45~1.85 V at a scanning rate of 100 mV·s. The morphological and electrochemical features of p-Gly/rGO/GCE were investigated by scanning electron microscopy and cyclic voltammetry. Under optimal conditions, the linear relationship was acquired for the simultaneous determination of XT and HX in 1-100 μM. The preparation of the electrode was simple and efficient. Additionally, the sensor combined the excellent conductivity of rGO and the polymerization of Gly, demonstrating satisfying simultaneous sensing performance to both XT and HX.

The study assessed the effectiveness and safety of nerve block combined with low-dose general anaesthesia in elderly hip arthroplasty patients, conducted by a meta-analysis of RCTs. Six trials involving 403 patients were identified from databases such as Cochrane, MEDLINE, and PubMed. The results demonstrated a statistically significant difference in pain scores at postoperative 12hours (95% CI, -2.

Purpose: Both clinical knowledge and patient care ownership (PCO) are crucial to the provision of quality patient care and should be acquired during training. However, the association between these two concepts is under-examined. Here, we conducted a nationwide cross-sectional study to investigate the association between clinical knowledge and PCO among resident physicians in Japan.

School of Public Health, North Sichuan Medical College, No. 234 Fujiang Road, Nanchong, 637000, Sichuan, China.

Background: Childhood obesity is associated with obesity in adulthood, but the consistency between the geographic distributions of obesity among children and adults in China is not fully understood. We aimed to examine the consistency of the geographic distributions of overweight and obesity between adults and children in China.

Methods: This was a cross-sectional study including 11,940 adults.

Background: Temperature is a key determinant of ectotherms distribution and growth. During the Eriocheir sinensis breeding process, it was observed that crabs in high latitudes and altitude areas with low temperatures undergo diapause, they would overwinter and continue to grow into three-year-old individuals, whose final body size is significantly larger than the normal two-year-old crabs. The hepatopancreas is responsible for maintaining the nutritional balance and energy required for the crab survival.
