Article Abstract
Scientists are drawn to the new green composites because they may demonstrate qualities that are comparable to those of composites made of synthetic fibers due to concerns about environmental contamination. In this work, the potential for using the produced green composite in different buckling load-bearing structural applications is explored. The work on composite buckling characteristics is vital because one needs to know the composite's structural stability since buckling leads to structural instability. The buckling properties of composite specimens with epoxy as the matrix and chemically treated cellulose microfibrils as reinforcements are examined numerically in this study when exposed to axial compressive stress. The numerical model is first created based on the finite element method model. Its validity is checked using ANSYS software by contrasting the critical buckling loads determined through research for three samples. The numerical findings acquired using the finite element method are then contrasted with those produced using the regression equation derived from the ANOVA. The utilization of the created green composite in different buckling load-bearing structural applications is investigated in this study. As a result of the green composite's unaltered buckling properties compared to synthetic composites, it has the potential to replace numerous synthetic composites, improving environmental sustainability.

A novel buckled-layer KMnO cathode was synthesized, featuring P2-oxygen stacking and P3-K sites. The presence of two independent manganese sites significantly influences the charge distribution and diffusion pathways of potassium ions during the charge and discharge processes, resulting in exceptional electrochemical performance. A reversible capacity of 105 mA h g at 100 mA g and remarkable rate capability of 70 mA h g at 1 A g were achieved, surpassing those of most previously reported layered transition metal oxide cathodes.

Compared with the traditional frame structures, the novel composite frame with replaceable steel links can realize the rapid recovery of building occupancy after seismic actions to provide the capacity of reducing structural damage and ensure the reuse of a structure. In this system, plastic deformation and damage mainly concentrated in the steel links serving as the structural fuses and other structural members still remained elastic or minor plastic, and then the damaged steel links can be easy for replace. In order to study the seismic performance of the replaceable steel links, a total of four test specimens with different short length ratios were designed.

This study evaluates the mechanical properties of materials used in the post-endodontic restoration of root-treated teeth and examines their performance under stress to provide insights for material selection in clinical applications. Particular attention is given to zirconium oxide, which demonstrates promising characteristics due to its esthetic color and favorable material properties, positioning it as a potential material for future use in post-endodontic treatments. Compressive testing of specimens taken from relatively thin composite plates is difficult, especially due to the occurrence of buckling. To prevent buckling, the central portion of the specimens used for the compression test has smaller dimensions, and the specimens can be guided along their entire length. For these reasons, optical methods, such as digital image correlation (DIC), cannot be used for the compression test and strain rosettes cannot be glued onto the samples to determine Poisson's ratio.
