During a botanical exploration in the Los Ruiles National Reserve (Chile), a population of Bosch was identified. Fronds were found at the base of a rock, under a hygrophilous vegetation cover, in a ravine (35°49'56.49"S -72°30'42.44"W). The finding in this wilderness area extends the distribution by 120 km northwards on the mainland, which until now was limited to the coastal area of the city of Concepción (36°47'07.86"). This contribution presents an observed specimen, the site of the find and the accompanying species.

Elucidating human cerebral cortex function is essential for understanding the physiological basis of both healthy and pathological brain states. We obtained extracellular local field potential recordings from cortical slices of neocortical tissue from refractory epilepsy patients. Multi-electrode recordings were combined with histological information, providing a two-dimensional spatiotemporal characterization of human cortical dynamics in control conditions and following modulation of the excitation/inhibition balance.

Aims: The recent widespread use of electronic health records (EHRs) has opened the possibility for innumerable artificial intelligence (AI) tools to aid in genomics, phenomics, and other research, as well as disease prevention, diagnosis, and therapy. Unfortunately, much of the data contained in EHRs are not optimally structured for even the most sophisticated AI approaches. There are very few published efforts investigating methods for recording discrete data in EHRs that would not slow current clinical workflows or ways to prioritise patient characteristics worth recording.

However, healthcare professionals struggle with how to elucidate patient values effectively. To offer guidance to healthcare professionals, we performed a scoping review, thereby mapping and categorizing instruments specifically developed to elucidate values of older adults in clinical practice.
