Transpatial skull base lesions involving the infratemporal fossa (ITF) are challenging due to the complex neurovascular structures of the region. Open approaches have traditionally been utilized to access these spaces. We present a 55-year-old woman presented with a mesenchymal mass involving the left ITF and masticator space. A combined endoscopic endonasal transpterygoid approach was performed followed by an endoscopic transoral-transmandibular corridor to access and resect the tumor. The post-operative course was unremarkable with no recurrence during her follow-up. Combined endoscopic approaches for transpatial tumor resection offered sufficient exposure to access safely each space.

Lateral lymph node dissection (LLND) is getting global attention as an a surgical option to reduce local recurrence in locally advanced rectal cancer. As the transanal total mesorectal excision (TaTME) is gaining popularity worldwide, a novel LLND approach was established adopting a two-team approach that combines the transabdominal and transanal approaches using the TaTME technique. This narrative review describes the advantages, anatomical landmarks, surgical techniques, and pitfalls of transanal LLND (TaLLND).

Background: Isocitrate dehydrogenase (IDH)-mutant gliomas generally have a better prognosis than IDH-wild-type glioblastomas, and the extent of resection significantly impacts prognosis. However, there is a lack of integrated tools for predicting outcomes based on molecular subtypes and treatment modalities. This study aimed to identify factors influencing gross total resection (GTR) rates and to develop a clinical prognostic tool for IDH-mutant gliomas.

Objective: The objective of this study was to analyse the aetiology, clinical presentations, histopathology and microbiological aspects of fungal rhinosinusitis (FRS) in patients undergoing endoscopic surgery.
Methods: The descriptive study was carried out over a 4-year period in two Serbian ENT Clinics and included patients with sinonasal pathology who underwent endoscopic surgery.
Results: The study included 26 patients.
