This study examines the relationship between dietary protein intake and bone mineral density (BMD) using data from the 2011-2018 National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES), addressing existing controversies in current evidence. This cross-sectional study included 16,775 participants. Dietary protein intake, the exposure variable, was collected with the use of two 24-h dietary recall methods and usual intake was assessed by the National Cancer Institute (NCI) method.

The Phoenix is a non-profit organization whose mission is to create communities and host events that harness the transformational power of social connection to promote SUD recovery. Background: Continuous perinatal health insurance coverage is a policy intervention that may help reduce severe maternal morbidity (SMM) and racial and ethnic disparities in SMM in the United States. The Affordable Care Act Dependent Coverage Provision (DCP) allowed young adults to remain on their parent's private health insurance plan until their 26 birthday but its effectiveness in reducing SMM has not been evaluated.

Objective: To assess the association of the DCP with SMM during delivery hospitalization.

Although racial, ethnic minorities, and immigrants are more likely to have poor diet-related health outcomes, few studies have compared children's dietary quality across diverse households, which is the formative step to designing targeted interventions. The current study evaluates and compares the dietary quality of young children from diverse racial, ethnic, and immigrant households in Nebraska. Cross-sectional survey data were collected from adults living in Nebraska with at least one 2-6-year-old child residing in their household via an online survey regarding their federal assistance program participation and dietary quality of child(ren) residing in their household, measured using the short Healthy Eating Index (sHEI).
