Introduction: Temporomandibular joint (TMJ) septic arthritis is a rare frequently misdiagnosed condition with non-specific symptoms. We present our experience of thirteen cases of TMJ septic arthritis and perform a systematic review of the literature to collate the multiple characteristics of this condition.
Material And Method: A total of 133 cases of TMJ septic arthritis in humans across 62 studies were analyzed by searching PubMed, Cochrane Library, DOAJ and ClinicalTrials.

Aim: To perform a systematic review to investigate if the use of audio distraction reduces signs of stress and anxiety in paediatric patients undergoing dental treatment.
Materials And Methods: Search was made in electronic databases (MEDLINE, Scopus, Embase, Web of Science, Scielo, BVS, Springer Link, Science Direct, Cochrane Library, and grey literature) until March 11th, 2024. The eligibility criteria were: paediatric patients under dental treatment; use of audio as a distraction method; comparison between groups with and without use of audio distraction; Clinical trials.

The high content of vitamin E, including tocopherols and tocotrienols (TCF-TTE), in palm oil () has made it a promising candidate for the alternative treatment of atopic dermatitis (AD). However, the limited solubility of TCF-TTE has restricted its therapeutic efficacy. In this study, pluronic-based micelles (MCs) encapsulating palm oil-derived TCF-TTE were formulated with dissolvable microarray patch-micelles (DMP-MC) using carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) synthesized from empty fruit bunches of palm to optimize its delivery for AD.

Background: There is consensus on the safety of standard dose direct oral anticoagulants (DOACs) for stroke prevention in patients undergoing cardioversion of atrial fibrillation (AF), but outcomes of reduced dose DOACs in this setting remain unclear.
Objective: This systematic review and meta-analysis aimed to compare the rate of cardioversion-associated thromboembolic events between patients taking reduced dose DOACs and those receiving standard dose anticoagulation.
Methods: A systematic search was conducted for studies published between January 1, 2009, and February 16, 2024 in PubMed, Embase, and Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials.

Purpose: Proper tooth alignment directs occlusal forces along the long axis, supporting optimal masticatory function and periodontal health. Deviations that lead to non-axial forces are common; however, teeth with such deviations often maintain optimal health. This study aims to assess various occlusal and periodontal parameters in teeth experiencing non-axial forces to better understand the underlying reasons and mechanisms that contribute to their maintained health status.
