Background: To decrease the risk of unsuspected malignancies disseminating, several studies have shown the safety of using a containment bag to limit tissue dissemination during manual or power morcellation. Furthermore, in 2020, the FDA recommended performing laparoscopic power morcellation for myomectomy or hysterectomy only within a tissue containment system.
Objective: To show step-by-step a new surgical technique using vaginal power morcellation within an endoscopic pouch without adding or extending other incisions.

We present the first case of low-grade endometrial stromal sarcoma (ESS) invading a leiomyoma, which was difficult to diagnose preoperatively. A 49-year-old multiparous woman was referred to our institution due to the enlargement of an old leiomyoma after menopause. Transvaginal ultrasonography revealed a 40-mm lesion in the myometrium of the uterine body with calcification and edema.

: The aim of this study was to assess the predictive factors associated with transient urine incontinence (TUI) following holmium laser enucleation of the prostate (HoLEP). : A retrospective analysis was conducted on a prospectively maintained database containing the first 149 consecutive HoLEP cases between June 2022 and December 2023. The study recorded several patient characteristics, and preoperative data such as IPSS score, total gland volume, preoperative catheterization, Qmax, and PVR volume were collected.

Purpose: This systematic review aims to comprehensively assess the safety and efficacy of transvaginal morcellation within an enclosed bag in gynecological surgeries, with a focus on its benefits, potential risks, and recommendations for its use.
Methods: We conducted a comprehensive search of Epistemonikos, Web of Science, Medline (PubMed), Scopus, and Cochrane databases for studies on transvaginal contained morcellation in adult patients undergoing gynecological surgeries. The review included 22 studies that met the inclusion criteria, encompassing diverse surgical procedures, patient profiles, and outcomes.

Objective: This study aims to describe the dome-type manual morcellation technique, a modified form of C-type incision, its comparative advantages over existing morcellation methods, the perioperative outcomes of trainees with varying experience levels, and the variables influencing morcellation speed based on our two years of experience.
Methods: This retrospective cohort study included women who underwent laparoscopic myomectomy or hysterectomy using dome-type morcellation for tissue extraction at a tertiary teaching hospital between May 2020 and September 2022. Morcellation was performed by either a single surgeon or a trainee (resident).
