Diffuse correlation spectroscopy (DCS) has emerged as a versatile, noninvasive method for deep tissue perfusion assessment using near-infrared light. A broad class of applications is being pursued in neuromonitoring and beyond. However, technical limitations of the technology as originally implemented remain as barriers to wider adoption. A wide variety of approaches to improve measurement performance and reduce cost are being explored; these include interferometric methods, camera-based multispeckle detection, and long path photon selection for improved depth sensitivity. We review here the current status of DCS technology and summarize future development directions and the challenges that remain on the path to widespread adoption.

DNA methylation is a crucial epigenetic modification that orchestrates chromatin remodelers that suppress transcription, and aberrations in DNA methylation result in a variety of conditions such as cancers and developmental disorders. While it is understood that methylation occurs at CpG-rich DNA regions, it is less understood how distinct methylation profiles are established within various cell types. In this work, we develop a molecular-transport model that depicts the genomic exploration of DNA methyltransferase within a multiscale DNA environment, incorporating biologically relevant factors like methylation rate and CpG density to predict how patterns are established.

Purpose: Anterior segment optical coherence tomography (AS-OCT) is increasingly being used to complement slit-lamp biomicroscopy in the evaluation of corneal infections. Our purpose was to analyze, compare, and correlate the clinical signs elicited by these 2 methods in patients with infectious keratitis (IK).
Methods: Slit-lamp photomicrographs (diffuse and slit beam) and AS-OCT scans were obtained from 20 consecutive patients (21 eyes) with IK.

Background And Objectives: Transient neurological deficits (TNDs) in patients with chronic subdural hematoma (CSDH), such as fluctuating aphasia, hemiparesis, or sensory disturbances, present diagnostic and treatment challenges as their pathophysiology remains unclear. The aim of this study was to investigate the association between specific MRI findings and TNDs in patients with CSDH and explored their relationship through intraoperative observation.
Methods: We retrospectively evaluated 72 patients with CSDH who underwent preoperative MRI among 251 CSDH patients treated from January 2020 to December 2023.

Removal of Rhodamine B (RhB) from aqueous solutions was performed by the batch adsorption process. Colemanite was characterized as an adsorbent by Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR), X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) and X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF). The effects of contact time, the effect of the initial concentration of the dye, the amount of adsorbent and temperature parameters on the removal of RhB were investigated.
